  1. My MWB Premium subscription didn't auto-renew like it was supposed to, so now it's deactivated. When I checked, it's still using my old billing address for the payment but I've moved since. Is that why it didn't auto-renew? How can I change my billing address because I don't see an edit option next to it.
  2. I've updated those programs. Restarted. Installed a few windows updates (2024-07 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5040527) and 2024-07 Cumulative Update Preview for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11, version 23H2 for x64 (KB5041169)). I ran some scans with MWB and Windows Security, and both turned up clean. But the scans never found anything to begin with. It was just that alert about VirTool:Win32 that popped up after I installed a windows update this morning. Was I ever infected or was it a windows glitch? The alert is still in my protection history. EDIT: Windows Firewall just reacted to FireFox for some reason.
  3. Done. Here are the logs for this scan. Addition.txt FRST.txt FSS.txt SecurityCheck.txt
  4. Please see attached log. It also seems to have created 2 other logs, "InstalledSoftwareFullList.txt" and "Log-Clear-BrowserCache.txt". Do you want to see those too? Fixlog.txt
  5. I can't add symbols like : and \ to the folder name. Can the folder just be named FIX as it's already in the C:\ drive?
  6. With the C:\FIX folder, am I creating it in This PC>Local Disk? Also, when I restarted my PC, I found this new Network Location in my "This PC" folder. When I try to open it, it says Access Denied. What is this? It wasn't there before.
  7. Please see attached. Windows Defender also popped up with another alert because I don't use OneDrive. Is this just Windows Defender and Microsoft being heavy-handed? Addition.txt FRST.txt SecurityCheck log.txt FSS log.txt
  8. I downloaded and installed a windows update (2024-07 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5040527)) and restarted my PC as instructed, then Windows Defender detected something call "VirTool:Win32". See attached screenshots. When I opened Windows Defender, it looks like it was turned off. I turned it back and did some scans with Windows Defender and Malwarebytes, but it didn't find anything. I also attached a screenshot of what my Windows Defender currently shows. Did I get a virus somehow or did the windows update do something to Windows Defender that caused this? When I try to run FRST64 tool, Windows Defender stopped it. Should I let it run anyways? Malwarebytes Scan Report 2024-07-26 200631.txt
  9. I'm trying to download and install the game Final Fantasy XIV but the installer is flagged as Malware by Malwarebytes. I downloaded the Windows version from their official website (https://freetrial.finalfantasyxiv.com/na/download). I think this is a false positive. My friends have this game and play it regularly. I also see another post on this forum about the Launcher for the game being flagged. Can someone check or confirm? log.txt
  10. Interesting. I'm just noting my observations. Today, the video playback was blocked for me again with uBO and Browser Guard. It was unblocked when I turned off Browser Guard's Ads/Trackers blocking but I left uBO on. I just turned Ads/Trackers back on, cleared my cookies and cache like before, and I was able to watch youtube like normal with both uBO and Browser Guard on.
  11. I was looking at and changing some browser settings on Firefox unrelated to Browser Guard when I noticed it reacted to something. When I checked, this is what I found. I wasn't even on this site when these detections happened. I've only every been to this site on my iphone and I wasn't even on this site there either. I am logged into my google account on both. I did a scan with Malwarebytes Premium but it didn't find anything. Am I safe? Why did it detected/blocked this site even though I wasn't on it?
  12. I watch youtube logged in to my account. So far, I can stave off the anti-adblock by deleting browser cookies and cache but it eventually comes back.
  13. I mainly use firefox but I occasionally go on chrome too. And yes, I am signed in to my google account.
