  1. My PC has become sluggish....then noticed in task manager the Malwarebytes service is using 37% CPU and 37% memory. I opened task manager as Admin, but when trying to end task, I got access denied. Suggestions, anyone? Thanks!
  2. Thanks! Not ready yet, but soon. Need to gather all my programs, back everything up, etc...
  3. Thanks everyone for all your help. After the download and reboot, Malwarebytes is back! One last question:I have bought a new upgraded PC...I think I read somewhere that I can use my Malwarebytes on multiple PC's? How do I do that?
  4. Porthos, Finally had a chance to run the support tool. Like times in the past the 'mbst-grab-results.zip' does not go to my desktop. I've found it in the past, but I can remember where. I did find FRST_13-08-2024 18.09.38, and Addition_13-08-2024 18.09.38, in C:\FRST\Logs. Should I attach those, or continue looking for mbst-grab-results.zip? Whoops, spoke too soon, did refresh on my desktop and found it. Attached now. mbst-grab-results.zip
  5. Hey Porthos, You've helped me in the past. I'm currently running a program in the background, that has about a day or so to finish. When it's done, I'll reboot and do the support tool thing.
  6. I bought Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Premium one year 11/11/14 2.0.4.1028, and have been re-newing and updating it ever since. Due to thunderstorms knocking out my power, my PC crashed, and upon re-booting back up I've lost the Malwarebytes task bar icon. Task manager shows it running--anyone know how to access the program? I've tried clicking the desktop icon, and the start menu icon, nothing happens(because it's already running?) Win 10, up to date. Thanks!
  7. Shouldn't that be 'Blocked on this site'. To me, 'Block on this site' implies an action need to be taken. Sorry for being so 'literal'.
  8. Ah! I have to click 'support' to see this. Thanks!
  9. I have the most current version of Malwarebytes Browser Guard(I can't find a version #, but it says 'You are running the latest version of Browser Guard'. I have a question which is probably self-evident, but is confusing to me. After I open the guard, on the right side it says 'Ad networks, trackers, malware, scams blocked on this page', and beneath that are various websites with a circle with a line through it(like a European stop sign), and says 'Block on this site' when hovering the mouse over it. And to the right of the circle, there's 3 vertical dots, when clicked says ' Allow on this site'. So, what do those mean? The sites with the circle are being blocked, or do I need to click those circles to block those sites?
  10. Thanks! That's good. Between WOT(web of trust), DisconnectMe, Ghostery, ScriptSafe, AntiMiner, and your Browser Guard loaded on my Chrome, I think that I'm safe from malware.
  11. I'm trying to get Google to feed me some fake searches, so I can see for myself what they look like(just within the Google search, I'm not going to click on them)
  12. I wonder if the 'hover your mouse over the URL, and the 'real' URL appears in the bottom left above the task bar' trick would work on Google searches? Just tried it, yep it works, just like in my email 'from' addresses.
  13. Ah, thanks! I got the same thing you got. I guess I'm not seeing those fake Google search listings for Amazon because I have Malwarebytes Premium and Browser Guard?
  14. I got an email from Malwarebytes 'Malvertising via brand impersonation is back again'. How do I see/bring up/invoke the 'My Ad Center' as shown in the email? See attachment.
