  1. I did a system search and found the file for the log. # AdwCleaner v3.018 - Report created 04/02/2014 at 17:50:39 # Updated 28/01/2014 by Xplode # Operating System : Windows 8.1 (64 bits) # Username : Mom - MISTY # Running from : C:\Users\Misty\Desktop\22Finder removal\adwcleaner.exe # Option : Scan ***** [ Services ] ***** ***** [ Files / Folders ] ***** ***** [ Shortcuts ] ***** ***** [ Registry ] ***** ***** [ Browsers ] ***** -\\ Internet Explorer v11.0.9600.16384 -\\ Mozilla Firefox v26.0 (en-US) [ File : C:\Users\Misty\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\qsgdzxsg.def
  2. Okay, I ran the rkill.exe. It downloaded and seemed to installed okay without having to transfer the program from another program. It disabled my windows defender but I don't think that it did anything else. I left it open and did not reboot as instructed. I then ran the AdwCleaner. Nothing showed up under any of the tabs except the browser. After choosing clean, I got a message that said my system would reboot and a log would be on my desktop once my system rebooted. Once my computer restarted there was no log so I wasn't able to post a log. Also, when I restarted my browser the 22Find Portal

  6. Plus, after backing up the registry or after running the fix on OTL, I now have a link to my homegroup. Is that normal?
  7. After rebooting and re-running the OTL scan I closed out my browser and reopened it to see if the 22Finder Portal Site still opens. Not only does it open but just before fulling loading, in the address bar it first says artemis.com then flips over to the 22Finder Portal Site. I've never had this hard of a time removing maleware. This is one virulent bug. Any suggestions what to do next?

  12. IE, Firefox, and Chrome. I have 3 profiles on this laptop. Mine, my kids, and a student one. It only seems to be happening on the kids' profile. I don't understand though how that could happen because if there was a virus wouldn't it infect the entire computer, not just one profile?
  13. Wow, I don't know why my last post deleted the webaddress that I c&p. I'm going to try posting again with dot instead of (.) . http://www dot 22find dot com/?type=sc&ts=1384475708&from=tugs&uid=TOSHIBAXMQ01ABD050_92PQT8Z5TXX92PQT8Z5T
  14. When I open any of my browsers, it opens to this: http://www.22find.com/?type=sc&ts=1384475708&from=tugs&uid=TOSHIBAXMQ01ABD050_92PQT8Z5TXX92PQT8Z5T%C2'> even though my homepage for all browsers is set to google.com. I've checked my programs list and there is nothing about 22Find to uninstall. It is also not listed as a browser add on or extension.
  15. Could this maleware (hijacker) be the cause of my inability to access any of my apps or windows store? Somehow I ended up with the 8.1 update without intending to and ever since then I've had issues.
