  1. Good evening, When I tried to log into my computer (Windows 7 Home Professional, 64-bit) in admin mode this evening, the logging in took forever. Finally, MalwareBytes gave me some kind of error about SDKCreate with error code 20023. It said it couldn't load the anti-rootkit drivers, that the problem might be a sign of rootkit activity, and that I should reboot. After I rebooted, I tried to log into the admin account again. This time, the admin desktop wouldn't load at all. MalwareBytes displayed error code 20025, and asked if I wanted to proceed without the rootkit drivers. After I clicked Yes, it began a scan, although I'm not sure why. Once I closed out of the scan window, I was faced with a black screen - the desktop didn't load. I had to use Ctrl-Alt-Del to log out of the admin account. I can log into my restricted user account without problems. MalwareBytes seems to be running normally. A complete system scan run from the user account found no problems on Nov 7. I have a lifetime MalwareBytes premium license. Thank you, S.C.
  2. Hi Dale, It seems that MBAM is now updating automatically. I guess WebRoot did not know to allow the recommended files in the exclusion list. Seems good now. Thanks for your help. Shelli
  3. Hi Dale, Thanks for your reply. Let me go through your initial suggestions first: 1) My system date and time are correct. 2) I have WebRoot SecureAnywhere as my AV. I added the recommended files to the exclusion list, but it appeared that WebRoot already knew to allow them. I looked at the Active Connections in the WebRoot firewall; mbam.exe, mbamservice.exe, and mbamscheduler.exe were all allowed in the connections list. I didn't see a way to add a connection, nor to specifically allow a URL (data-cdn.mbamupdates.com). Are you aware of something else I need to do in WebRoot? 3) I am using Windows Firewall. From the exclusion link you posted, it seemed that Windows Firewall allows MBAM by default? If I need to allow the URL (data-cdn.mbamupdates.com) how do I do that? 4) There are no Detected Threats. 5) The pinned topic seemed to apply to MBAM not updating at all. Is that correct? My MBAM will update if I go to the Dashboard and click "Update Now." It just doesn't update automatically, as it used to. If I have misunderstood the subject of the pinned topic, let me know, and I will run through those instructions next. Thanks again!
  4. Malwarebytes asked me to upgrade to the new version, which I did. Now that has happened, the program is constantly telling me my database is out of date. In Settings -> Automated Scheduling of the new User Interface, "Check for Updates" is scheduled to repeat every hour, but it does not. Based on other posts about auto-update problems that I've seen on the site, I've tried to attach all the logs you might need. mbam-log-2014-07-12 (14-19-38).xmlmbam-log-2014-07-19 (14-59-36).xmlprotection-log-2014-07-19.xmlprotection-log-2014-07-21.xml attach.txtCheckResults.txtdds.txt
