  1. Lately when I boot up or shutdown my computer a box pops up on the screen, only for a split second though so I could never see what it is. Tonight it popped up and I could see it said Malware Anti Exploit, I quickly clicked on it, that's when the strange stuff started to happen.  I clicked on it, it disappeared and another box appeared, shown in attachment. I clicked YES on this box. Computer rebooted, screen stayed black but MBAM box opened, said I had to update it, once I updated it did a scan, found nothing. After scan screen stayed black, had to power off computer for Windows to boot normally again. Avast scan shows nothing.

So is this just a glitch or something else?

    Thanks.

  2. MBAM Pro has been super to work with other A/Vs......Vast, AVG, etc.

With the new A/Vs......eg, Avast 2014....how much has been tested to work nicely with them ?

I ask because MBAM and Avat both have rootkit scanners, etc.....I currently run both Avast & MBAM Pro Active now.

    Thx.

Both are working nicely together for me.

  3. Ok, maybe I spoke too soon. I have MBAM checked to start with Windows. However when I use msconfig to check startup programs,  use Ccleaner to check for startup programs or use Win Patrol to look for startup programs, MBAM is not shown in any of them. I did reboot after install, also, a couple of boxes I changed in the options did not stick after reboot either.

  4. Ok, so just wondering then what is the use of even having an desktop icon if all it does is run MBAE? That means the only way to open the program is by using the taskbar icon right? I just find it sort of strange,  a desktop icon is the usual way to open any program. And to complicate matters my taskbar icon does not appear about 1/3 of the time so in these cases the only way to open the program would be to go directly into the MBAE folder.
