Yes, I use them, no problems.

Advanced Setup advised that I start a topic here, potentially some problem. Originally I was trying to find out if version 1.75 was fully uninstalled and why I have 2 malwarebytes folders. Not experiencing any problems with computer.
Thanks.

I could have sworn I did uninstall version 1.75 thru the control panel. Here are the logs.

I can't edit my post.
I also noticed I have 2 folders named Malwarebytes Anti-Malware in C/Program Date/Malwarebytes, one is dated Jan 29 the other Feb 28, can I delete the older folder?

So I downloaded and tried Belarc Advisor, shows a lot of information. It also shows I am running 3 versions of MBAM.
I am running the latest beat, 2.00.0.0504, Belarc Advisor shows me running these versions.
2.1.9
2.0.23
1.0.0.488
Is this a false reading or are these old versions hiding somewhere on my computer?
Thanks.

Alikhhan, this may be a dumb question but why do you have 2 MBAM icons in your taskbar and show 2 mbam.exe processes running in Process Explorer?

Wow, Hyperscan, 175,000 objects, 42 seconds, fast.

Is this the correct log?

Lately when I boot up or shutdown my computer a box pops up on the screen, only for a split second though so I could never see what it is. Tonight it popped up and I could see it said Malware Anti Exploit, I quickly clicked on it, that's when the strange stuff started to happen. I clicked on it, it disappeared and another box appeared, shown in attachment. I clicked YES on this box. Computer rebooted, screen stayed black but MBAM box opened, said I had to update it, once I updated it did a scan, found nothing. After scan screen stayed black, had to power off computer for Windows to boot normally again. Avast scan shows nothing.
So is this just a glitch or something else?
Thanks.

I see the same as Wilpower.

${vars.product.appdata}
I cannot find this folder.
A window popped up saying MBAM data base was corrupt and would I like to download a new copy. Did this and it seems to have fixed this issue.

MBAM Pro has been super to work with other A/Vs......Vast, AVG, etc.
With the new A/Vs......eg, Avast 2014....how much has been tested to work nicely with them ?
I ask because MBAM and Avat both have rootkit scanners, etc.....I currently run both Avast & MBAM Pro Active now.
Thx.
Both are working nicely together for me.

Updated to newest version, working great. Threat scan took 1 minute 10 seconds.

thanks for explanation.

exile 360, I can confirm that MBAM is running, its just that Ccleaner, msconfig or WinPatrol all showed the old version starting with Windows, with this new version they do not. I guess this new version is just different, it does start with Windows so no problems.
-
Ok, maybe I spoke too soon. I have MBAM checked to start with Windows. However when I use msconfig to check startup programs, use Ccleaner to check for startup programs or use Win Patrol to look for startup programs, MBAM is not shown in any of them. I did reboot after install, also, a couple of boxes I changed in the options did not stick after reboot either.

Installed beta, everything seems to work fine. Did a Threat Scan, took 4 1/2 minutes, found nothing.
Just a question, what is self protection module and self protection early start?
So far I like.

Otherwise it is not what people are used to and is confusing.
-
That would be great. Just have the desktop icon open the application.
-
Ok, so just wondering then what is the use of even having an desktop icon if all it does is run MBAE? That means the only way to open the program is by using the taskbar icon right? I just find it sort of strange, a desktop icon is the usual way to open any program. And to complicate matters my taskbar icon does not appear about 1/3 of the time so in these cases the only way to open the program would be to go directly into the MBAE folder.
-
This may be off topic but installed new version, desktop icon still does not work, when you click on it nothing happens.

Actually I wouldn't call SpyShelter no name software, everything I've read about it pretty much confirms that it is an excellent firewall and anti keylogger.
Brough, the test you took is for key loggers, none of the security software you have are specifically designed to catch key loggers. For that you could try SpyShelter, Zemana or Online Armour firewall.

I am using Hardened mode so that is probably the case.
