  1. Thanks for the information. I was hoping it would explain some bluescreens I was having...
  2. Hi, I have a general question about malware (mods: hope this is the correct forum). My question is, can registry entries alone mean you are infected. For example, I have scanned my computer with Kapersky, ZoneLabs/Checkpoint, A-Squared, McAfee, Malwarebytes, Superantispywarepro, Spybot, and SpywareDoctor. The only thing detected by the majority of programs are tracking cookies. One exeption, Spyware Doctor detects several registry trojans. I don't see any FILES infected, just the registry entries. Can anyone please explain so I understand better. See attached text file. Not sure file attac
  3. ok, thanks. Too bad Malwarebytes isn't more compatible with AVG... I won't be changing from that anti-virus company.
  4. Hi, I am a small computer repair shop and I sell Malwarebytes. I have installed the paid version on numerous computers. Lately however I have found that Malwarebyes locks up on several different computers I have installed it on. These have been several different computers (windows xp, windows vista, windows 7, 32 and 64 bit machines). Most are either Dell or HP machines and all have been running AVG Anti-Virus. I haven't had any conflicts with AVG before so I am not sure if that is the issue. Can anyone help with this? I'd like to continue to recommend Malwarebytes as a great anti-malware
  5. It was a customer's PC and I needed to get it back to them. Because I couldn't get quick support, I had to use a competetors product. Sorry.
  6. No, the help desk didn't have anything that worked... I switched to a different vendors product.
  7. Running the new release on a Gateway AMD2 with Vista 32 bit locks up, on Dell with Intel and Win XP MCE SP3 locks up. I run PRO, am a reseller for Malwarebytes, repair computers and can't get any response out of corporate support. Very angry right now.
  8. I am using Malwarebytes Pro 1.50 with AVG anti-virus on XP Media Center SP3. When I install and use Malwarebytes, it locks up the desktop and I can't run or open anything at all. I have the paid (pro) version. I have formatted the hard drive, reinstalled windows, reinstalled malwarebytes and no luck. When I uninstall Malwarebytes everything works fine. I am virus / trojan free. Can't understand what's going on or what else to do.
  9. Hi, I have several serial #'s (licensed) of Malwarebytes [i am a reseller]. I put the wrong serial number on the wrong computer... How do I unregister Malwarebytes or put the correct codes in? I tried uninstalling and re-installing. I will send the customer with the proper license, but since I think this is such an awesome product (and I recommend it to all my clients), I'd like to make sure the correct license gets on the correct machine. Thanks for making such a good, affordable product. Allen
  10. Hi, I know that I need to run (or should anyway) Malwarebytes in addition to a anti-virus program (such as AVG, MS Security Essentials, etc). Can anyone please explain why I have to run two? I love AVG & Malwarebytes together but it's tough for me to understand the excact differences between the two... seems the overlap a bit or are redundant in description, although I know in practice they seem to highly compliment each other. (I am not suggesting I would ever run two anti-virus programs together, just this combo) Allen
  11. Hello, Sometimes I have the option when I right click a file or folder in explorer to scan with malware bytes... sometimes its not there... Not sure what is causing this... Can anyone please clarify? I have done a search on the forums and can't find anything relevant.
