  1. I was going to get down to that granularity. Let us kn\ow how you make out with a new Network Interface card (aka; NIC).
  2. LOL - Like you should be seeing them like cars on the street.
  3. You should be able to at least PING Google. We are going to have to look deeper into your networking setup later Today.
  4. OK. You have an Arris TM722 Cable Modem that in turn connects to the WAN port of a Linksys WRT54G2 Router. The computer is question is connected via a wired Ethernet connection. Download and install PingUtil on SourceForge Add a site such as the Internet Radio and Google.Com and let it run for 5 minutes then Graph the results. Then, attach the graph to your reply.
  5. Thanx. What equipment is in your home ? What is the make and model of your Cable Modem ? Is that Cable Modem a Modem+Router ? If not, what is the make and model of a Router you are using and are you wired to a LAN port or are you connecting via WiFi ?
  6. Who is your Internet Provider ? What is the technology used to provide you with Internet access ? What is the rated speed your Internet access is supposed to provide ? Example Answer: Rogers, cable, 25Mb/s
  7. This is OT and if it is to be discussed it probably can/should go to another thread. In World War II the Germans used the Enigma Machine to encode Germany Navy messages to the wolf packs of submarines operating in the mid-Atlantic Ocean. The British had a program at Bleachly Park where the first electronic digital computer called Colossus was used to break the Enigma code. Colossus was a classified British system and remained so for 20 years after the end of WWII. Below is the 3-Rotor Enigma Machine. The 7-Rotor Enigma Machine was more complex to decode but that too was broken by Colossus. 8. The ONLY way you can install the same software on multiple machines is if is its a Volume License Key (VLK) which is bought by and used in Enterprise environments and where the OS comes with a system such as Dell. In the latter case the BIOS is read by the installer and it knows whether a license needs to be entered and is legal. You will see that when the OS is installed, the OS is company "branded". This is outside the nature of what this forum supports. If LoveEnigma is a registered business then LoveEnigma shouldn't be posting this subject matter here and should seek business level partnerships. If LoveEnigma is an individual, then LoveEnigma should be buying what is offered OTC and tie each DVD purchased to ONE computer. One license, one computer. This forum can't help anyone pirate a Windows OS. Improper application of licensing to multiple machines outside of a business relationship with Microsoft would be pirating Microsoft's software. As for eBay - caveat emptor comes to mind. BTW: I don't love Enigma. I love Colossus which broke Enigma.
  9. Love the verbiage ! I'll have to remember it.
  10. blackdove83: We discussed malvertisements before in reference to Skype.
  11. Yes ! One DVD equates to 1 license per computer it is to be installed on.
  12. I suggest statically setting the WiFi NIC, as a test, to an address on your sub-net and add the following DNS servers to the NIC's DNS table... 8.8.8.8 8.8.4.4 4.2.2.3 4.2.2.1 If that resolves the issue, you may want to add them to the your Router's DNS table for DHCP. Then you can revert back to Dynamic addressing on the WiFi NIC and it will be using those addresses.
  13. OK. Thanx for the update. Buying the OS, from a reputable dealer Over the Counter (OTC), is your best bet. Just buy one OS distribution DVD for each system and affix the license key-code sticker to the chassis and include the distribution DVD upon delivery.
  14. You have to have an agreement with Microsoft for that and be licensed to provide a refurbished PC OS license with the PC or a license for reselling the OS with a new PC. We can't help you with that here, in this product support web forum.
  15. Like I wrote earlier - "With the above you can install the OS on ANY PC you want" So why can't you use them ?
  16. Newegg Win7/64 Professional Newegg Win7/32 Professional CDW Win7/64 Professional CDW Win7/32 Professional $130.00 ~ $150.00 is a reasonable, market price. Hell I paid $250.00 ~ $300.00 for previous Retail OS' years ago. With the above you can install the OS on ANY PC you want. You are right about Microsoft. They officially stopped selling Win7 on Oct 31, 2013.
  17. I agree with John and I just got a similar prices at Newegg and CDW as what is offered at TigerDirect.
  18. Kaspersky is one of the best anti virus applications with a very good catch rate. Symantec and McAfee are "trustworthy" but their respective software has had problems (to say the least) in the retail arena that has created public perception problems.
  19. Good eye Daledoc1. Failure to attribute an author for their content is plagiarism and it is frowned upon, to say the least.

  21. MBAM Pro introduces incremental updates. That means it will download updates that are new between the last update and the latest update. If there is a long period or relatively long period since the last update, MBAM will download the full signature database, which is running around 7+MBs, instead of an incremental update.
  22. I don't think we should close this thread until you have read the PDF and have determined what the diagnostic light patterns are showing and thus indicating. That is unless you no longer wish to resolve the issue.
  23. OK. We'll be here when you have new information based upon the diagnostic lights you see and their respective meaning.
