  1. Please close this topic as it seems that after 3 1/2 hours that this topic has been opened no one has an answer at this time. Thanks anyway! If I have any further questions or problems, I will be back as I have had help from here that was much appreciated and resolved my previous problems. Other than this topic being overlooked, I am glad this forum is available for help. Thanks again.
  2. Hello. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium SP 1. I was recently told and shown by a friend that I may be infected by either a Keylogger or some other Virus which seems to be slowing down my computer & internet. I have already run the Farbar Scan Tool I downloaded from bleepingcomputer website and I have attached it below. Could someone please take a look at it and advise me to whether I am infected or not? Thanks in advance for your help. Addition.txt FRST.txt
  3. MrC, Thanks again for all your great help. It has been much appreciated. This is my last post on this topic. Feel free to close it as resolved.
  4. Computer is still up and I don't think CF will ever run correctly on this system short of reinstalling the entire OS. I'm now going back through and trying to find all those AV remnants. So far I found $AVG in a hidden folder in the C drive. So obviously there are others to remove. I guess at this point I will run those spyware/adware programs and try to install a good virus protection & go from there. What are your thoughts?
  5. Combofix was sluggish & froze a few times, but it is now creating a log report. I will post it soon.
  6. Cool. It is still on the same screen so I will let it run and see what it looks like in 30 minutes or so and I will post if anything changes.
  7. I did the trick and now we wait. It has been on the initial screen for about 6 minutes. Hopefully the 1 stage completion will begin soon. I will give it another 15min before checking task manager as I know this system was badly infected and may take longer than the normal 10 minutes to scan. What is the longest time you've seen it take to run this scan on a badly infected system?
  8. Here is an example which happens on all my CF scans. CF Resident AV Example.txt
  9. I will download a fresh copy of CF. Also, since there is some form of "Resident AV" that CF finds on my computer which I can't access to disable, is there a command line that I can run CF and have it automatically disable any found AV programs? I don't think CF runs its scan properly and fully when it sees any kind of antivirus program upon startup. Also CF seems to freeze before completing stage 1 and can only get started if I go to the task manager and 1 by 1 end a process that relates to CF. Once I do that, it's usually "Grep.3XE" causing the glitch, the stages complete through 50 but then upon starting to delete files & folders, it freezes again until I start the process of task manager again. At that point it just goes straight to the screen that says there will be a report and not to run any programs until it finishes.
  10. Running checkdisk now. It will take awhile. Hopefully not too long since it is only running a 32GB drive but we'll see. I will run Combofix after and post the results and let you know how things are running at that point. I will run those other programs later. Thanks for all your help.
  11. Did you see any further issues with my last post results of FRST? Any fixlist repairs needed?
  12. Rogue Killer found no threats. It looks like there are still some glitches left behind by the virus and wondered if programs like Combofix, AdwCleaner or Junk Removal Tool might resolve these issues? I'm back to not being able to boot into Safe Mode and when I boot into Normal Mode, it requests I run checkdisk for inconsistencies. All of this was fixed before I restored back to the Mbar point. And Internet Explorer opens pages with a "script error" wanting to know if I want to continue running the script? This too was fixed before I restored. But before the restore I had alot of files in my C drive named "Found Files" which I'm guessing were created from the checkdisk. What can we do about these issues? RKreport0_S_09022013_183736.txt
