  1. Well, I guess I won't be of much help after all. Or maybe I will...? I just replaced the 3.1.2.x version with the previous version 3.0.6 via installing it without uninstalling the 3.1.2 version first, because I needed to get my client protected again ASAP and she was calling me on the phone. After doing that, I reinstalled 3.1.2 (again, without uninstalling the previous version) so I could run the utilities to obtain the log files to post here. However, upon reinstalling version 3.1.2 it seems to work ok now! I have just restarted the PC in question and upon rebooting it Malwarebytes 3.1.2 is working.
  2. I'm having the "Cannot connect to system" issue on a Windows 10 PC immediately after upgrading from version 3.0.6 to 3.1.2.1733, and so is one of my clients. Both have active licenses and the older version of Malwarebytes has been in active service successfully. I don't have access to the client PC but I'll follow the steps at the "Having problems using Malwarebytes? Please follow these steps" page and let you know what the results are. Thanks in advance - Dave
  3. Much better latency following the uninstall, reboot, reinstall, update and quick scan. But still higher with website blocking turned on than with it off. I wish I could provide you with screenshots of the results of the latency scan.
  4. Thank you, Advanced Setup. I have done this and am still relying on MBAM's excellent protection (and support). It seems that my posts have been separated from matpan's, who I referenced in my first post. His was moved to the topic: "Audio Lag MBAM" while mine was moved to this "Audio Latency" topic. Hmm... I'm not sure why our comments would have been separated from each other, but to catch up anyone following all this, here's matpan's original problem description, which I also was seeing: "There is a problem with new version of MBAM 1.75.0.1300. When i use protections and "Site blocking" option is in use, i'm getting very high latensy on Windows 7 home premium 64-bit. Especially when i hear mp3 music through winamp "Site blocking" causes my mouse and audio to stutter. It is really annoying and makes me not want to hear music "
  5. Hmm... does this latency issue need to go to another topic or is it ok here?
  6. I forgot to mention that I performed quite a lot of hardware and driver investigation before discovering that the issue seemed to be cause by the "site blocking" feature.
  7. I had the exact same audio symptoms as matpan. I'm running the latest version of MBAM (1.75.0.1300) on Win7 64bit on a 256GB SSD inside an HP 8760w Elitebook with 8GB RAM. I can confirm that the "site blocking" feature of MBAM causes excessive latencies of Deferred Procedure Calls (DPCs) and I confirmed this using the DPC Latency Checker tool available at http://www.thesycon....ncy_check.shtml. I tried to add a screenshot to this post bould could not. But my screenshot clearly shows the effect on latency when I toggled the "site blocking" on and off. If you can provide me with a way to post the jpg file I'll be happy to make it available. It made no difference whether I had other protective software running or not. After a fresh boot-up I ran the latency checker tool and toggled MBAM's "site blocking" and saw the results I describe. With that feature turned off latency plummeted to "normal", acceptable levels. If I can help by providing further details or the screenshots I'll be happy to. Meanwhile, MBAM remains my go-to and most relied-on malware protection. I'll simply leave "site blocking" disabled for now, thank you anyway. Good luck - Dave
