  1. Dave, Thank you very much for your help. I really appreciate it. Thank you!
  2. Attaching another photo of trying to log-in to my router.
  3. Hi, I am bumping this thread in case anyone else may be able to help me get my computer back on track. I have tried the suggestions above with not so great success. It seems like there is a hacker on my computer that reverted the router changes I made previously. I can no longer access my router settings oro make any changes. I am just now able to get onine by leaving the router off for over 10 minutes. When I tried to put in my router password information it would not recognize it. I no longer see the Gwen computer in my network, but my router has been changed to string of numbers. If anyone can help without being impolite I would really appreciate it. Thank you
  4. Hi again, Thank you very much for the help. I am going to give it a try and hope it works. I do have a question about connecting directly to the router. Does this mean that I take the cord from it and plug it in to my computer? Does the cord go from the router to my computer or from the modem to my computer? I am just a little confused by how to get started. Thank you.
  5. Hi, I am sorry for not being more precise. I have suddenlink internet services and a linksys router and it is model wrt160n. I am attaching some screenshots that I hope explain in more detail what is going on. These computers prevent my internet from working; especially the Anastasia one. The Gwen one allows me to use internet, but I am afraid that it is collecting my private information. After I did the complete computer restore I downloaded several Windows updates and now there are more for me to download. I don't think these are normal updates. Thank you.
  6. Hi, I am sorry if my posting was confusing. These are unauthorized computers on my network. One is named "Gwen" and the other "Anastasia" and they rotate. I didn't add them to my network and don't even know people by those names. I did try to drag them to the trash which didn't work (though I really wish it would have). There should only be my computer on this network. I have a wireless router that I use high speed internet to connect to. I tried to attach the screenshots to my post using the my media option above. I clicked search to add them and it wouldn't let me. Is there another way for me to post them? Thank you.
  7. Hi! I am having a problem with an unauthorized computer on my network and I really hope someone can help me. There are actually 2 different ones that rotate. These are not family members and they prevent me from accessing the internet. I have tried to click on them and put them in the trash and find out more about them by clicking on properties, but I am not able to. I disabled my homegroup, but they still show up as being on my network. Is there any way I can permenantly remove these computers from my network? I do not understand how they were able to attach to my computer because I do have current anti-virus. I also tried doing a complete system restore of my computer wiping it back to factory settings and clearing everything off. I noticed that when I did that I could still see some of my previous bookmarks so these computers may be stopping me from actually clearing everything off of my computer. I am not overly technical, but I realize that this is wreaking havoc on my computer which I need for school. If someone could help; I would be very grateful. I am on Windows 7 home premium. Thank you.
