  2. Here is the file from the restart - running the security check now AdwCleanerS1.txt
  3. From what I can tell it seems like there is not anything there of any importance.
  4. I have attached the log - I am trying to look over it but I am having a hard time making sense of any of it.AdwCleanerR1.txt
  5. Ran Malwarebytes Anti-Rootkit found some things and cleaned them up. Ran it a second time and did not find anything Internet seems to be working as well as the firewall - windows update is currently running. I have attached the logs - there are two frommbar-log-2013-07-02 (11-52-40).txtmbar-log-2013-07-02 (12-23-21).txtsystem-log.txt mbar.
  6. Ran Kaspersky Rescue Disk and Unlocker as described it found 10 trojans and some other malware most seemed to be attached to java. I followed all of the recommended solutions which did not eliminate all of them. I am now able to start the machine up - should I now try the other things that I was unable to do?
  7. Thanks Mr. C - working on it now will let you know how I make out
  8. From reading other posts I have tried the following: Try this please. You will need a USB drive. 9. While on the internet, my antivirus found a threat, I quarentined and then restarted my computer, upon restarting the desktop went to a command prompt box. I then tried to start in safe mode, but the computer just restarts in regular windows. The message in the command prompt box is: '"C:\Documents and Settings\User\My Documents\139d2e78.exe"' is not recognized as an operable program or batch file. C:\Documents and Settings\User> Any help would be greatly appreciated
