  1. Hello There was an issue with corrupted database packages earlier today that affected some 64-bit systems resulting in disabling the real time protection for these machines.  This problem has since been addressed.   To get things working normally again simply open Malwarebytes and click on "Current" next to where it says Updates in the Dashboard and it should download and install working databases. If it is able to successfully update but protection still is not working, then please try right-clicking the Malwarebytes tray icon next to your system clock and select Quit Malwarebytes. Open Malwarebytes once again from your START -> Programs menu or from the shortcut located on your Desktop. If the issue persists, then please try restarting your PC. If you have any further issues, please let us know. Thank you again for all your patience, we really appreciate it and thank you for using Malwarebytes.
  2. Hello, If you are unable to remove an application that is detected by Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Mobile (MBAM Mobile), it could be that the detected application is installed on an external storage device, like an SD card, or on the system partition as a System App. These detections can not be removed or uninstalled by a user level application such as MBAM Mobile. Please note that not all detected applications are malicious in nature and that some may be a false positive. If you believe that a detected application is not malicious and is a false positive please report it to us. If an application is determined to malicious but cannot be removed with the MBAM Mobile application due to the lack of escalated privleges needed we can offer you a few alternatives. Please note that all of the following options are to be done at your own risk: 1. Disable the application – This can be done via Android *Settings -> General tab -> Apps. Tap on the "malicious app" listed and then tap Force stop/Disable or Uninstall. 2. If your device is "ROOTED":https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rooting_(Android_OS) you may connect your device to your PC remove the infection through Windows Explorer by navigating to the location specified in the Scan results. The following options are reserved for advanced users: 3. Install a different ROM with the same name to replace infected one. 4. Do a factory reset on your device 5. Root the device and uninstall the malicious apps. 6. Return the device if the option is available .
  3. Hi Ray. Malwarebytes Anti-malware for Android does not feature web protection which means that it will not block pop-ups you get or prevent redirects when browsing the web. The way around those popups or redirecting sites is to close the web browser and start over or tap the back button on your Home screen. You may want to also clear the web browser app data as well. To do that, go to the Android Settings > General > Apps. Locate the name of the web browser from the list and tap to open its settings. You should see a Clear Data button on the following App info screen. If you do not, tap on the STORAGE option where you should find it. Tap the Clear Data button. Close settings.

  10. Hello, At this time we do not have a solution for the issues you are experiencing. Our product developers are working on fixes for all bugs of which will be addressed in our next release. We recommend the Beta version as a workaround, however if that is not a viable solution for you, it may be best to remove the app from your device for the time being. We dont have an ETA for the Malwarebytes Mobile 2.0 release at this time.

  12. Hello, This is a known issue of which will be addressed in a future release with Malwarebytes Mobile 2.0. However at this time we are offering users to join our Beta community to obtain access to the latest beta version of our app. Malwarebytes 2.0 Beta is available from the following link if you would like to be an early adopter. Unfortunately we cannot provide support for the beta version because it is still in testing phase. This is a “use at your own risk” option. Submit your request for the Beta version here: https://plus.google.com/communities/102401317912771252555

  21. Hello, This is a known issue with our latest version and will be addressed in a new release. No ETA at this time for that however. You may choose from 2 options. 1. Do not install Malwarebytes Mobile until the next release. 2. Revert to an earlier version that does not have this issue. Please follow the following steps to install our apk. Download the attached file "mbamMobile-1.04.3.5000.zip" to your PC. (1) Connect your tablet via USB to your computer and enable mass storage or mount the SD card to the computer like you usually do. copy the .apk file into your tablet . It doesn't matter where you put it as long as you remember the location. (2) Safely eject your tablet and disconnect it from the computer. (3) Before you can actually install the APK file, you’ll need to tell your device that it can install any apps outside of the Play Store without throwing a fit. You can find this switch in your Settings –> Security –> Unknown Sources. Once this is enabled. you are clear to download this apk (4) Locate the APK file, and open it. The Android OS should take over, identifying that the APK file is an app, and ask you whether you’d like to go ahead and install it, all permissions accounted for mbamMobile-1.04.3.5000.zip

  24. Hello, What make and model is you device? Operating system and version?
  25. Hello All, This issue has been resolved in one of our most recent signature updates. To be sure that you have the current definition: Open the Malwarebytes Mobile app. Go to Settings > Scheduled Updates and click on the Force Update option.
