  1. Glad to hear it. Thanks for letting me know. I hope it serves you well!
  2. Nick, They will be the best source of information for you on the subject. I did alert them to your issue, so I hope there's a suitable resolution.
  3. NickDK, I think that resolution of this issue would be beyond the scope of the forums, AND as a MEE user, you can open a support ticket which will get you more specialized response. I will also go over and see if I can get one of the guys to take a look at this as well. I'd be interested in keeping up with this one too...it sounds like different behavior from different network boxes may have some documentation repercussions (FAQ, Best Practices, who knows). I'll go over now.
  4. Great. If you don't have it already, download this guide from the Support Section of our web site: http://downloads.malwarebytes.org/asset/meeuserguide.pdf Pay special attention to the CLIENT PUSH INSTALL section which begins on page 50. My bet is that the offending computer has not been set up with the specs listed there. Post back later and let us know.
  5. Are you using Malwarebytes Management Console 1.4 or Malwarebytes Enterprise Edition 1.3? I can point you to the proper guide if I know which one to point you to.
  6. Its a controlled update, so that servers don't get overwhelmed. They have "turned up the volume" but it may take a bit longer still to get you updated. It will get updated soon.
  7. Just a note here...I am currently working with Patkfl1 to determine nature of problem and come up with a solution.
  8. Patkfl1, I would like to get more information from you, but I need you to send it as a private message. Please look at the top of this screen for an envelope. Click on it, and a new small window will open. Click the COMPOSE NEW button and send me a private message. Once I see that, I'll tell you what I need. I'm being cryptic here because I need some private information and I DO NOT WANT it posted in this thread by accident. I look forward to seeing that PM.
  9. OK. I have a point of reference now. There are two possible answers here, and you will know which one is right for you. IF YOU BOUGHT A LIFETIME (ONE COMPUTER) LICENSE: Locate the email which you received from Malwarebytes (or Cleverbridge) which contains a License ID and Key. You will need that to activate Premium features on your new computer. If you no longer have that email, you will need to contact cs@cleverbridge.com to make sure that you have that license information. If you do need to contact Cleverbridge, you must tell them the email address you used when you purchased the product.Once you have the license handy, you must uninstall Malwarebytes from the old computer using the link below. This will allow you to move your license from the old computer to the new one. If you wish, you can later download and install the free/trial version for the old computer. http://downloads.malwarebytes.org/file/mbam_clean Download and install the free/trial version for the new computer. On the new computer, activate the Premium features using your license ID and Key.IF YOU BOUGHT A SUBSCRIPTION (THREE-COMPUTER) LICENSE: Locate the email which you received from Malwarebytes (or Cleverbridge) which contains a License ID and Key. You will need that to activate Premium features on your new computer. If you no longer have that email, you will need to contact cs@cleverbridge.com to make sure that you have that license information. If you do need to contact Cleverbridge, you must tell them the email address you used when you purchased the product.Download and install the free/trial version for the new computer. On the new computer, activate the Premium features using your license ID and Key.What you were told is partially right, but the steps I have given you here will keep you protected, and if you have the first license type mentioned here, will also keep you from getting blacklisted.
  10. OUCH! I will jump to the last part first. There is a guide. I know because I wrote it. Please send me a private message (look for the envelope at the top right of this screen) with your email address, and I will get it to you. That should be on the web site, and it appears that it didn't get listed there. I will not be able to get to it until Monday, but I will make sure that I do it then if you get me your email address. Now on to the other questions... If you are referring to Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Premium, yes...leave it installed. Anti-Malware and Anti-Exploit work differently and go after different attack vectors. If you have both, you should use both. Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit does not require updates, because there are no signatures to update. There may be program updates. If that is the case, watch the forums. There is currently an experimental build which has been made available to interested users. It is newer than the released version. There are no scans or updates on Anti-Exploit. You shield specific applications with Anti-Exploit...applications which are commonly used, and which are sometimes exploited due to weaknesses. You can also Add Shields to programs which are not listed by (a) giving the program to be shielded a "nickname" that will be displayed, (b) Specifying its executable filename, and © Choosing the profile which best fits the application. Last question was answered first so I could get my wincing out of the way I look forward to that private message from you, and I'll follow up with you then.
  11. There's only one uninstallation method that takes care of that. You need to download our "mbam clean" utility from: http://downloads.malwarebytes.org/file/mbam_clean Its a command line utility, and it will take care of the uninstallation properly. You can then reinstall and it will be as you expect it to be.
  12. Before I can answer that, I need to ask what company gave you that answer. The answer to that question makes a difference as to what I need to tell you.
  13. I will let Steven respond from the Malwarebytes perspective, but I should ask whether your clients are seeing the specific notification window which you put in your initial screenshot? If yes, Steven's answer will be of interest. If not, they may have other protection which also uses a blacklist. Many anti-virus and anti-malware vendors use blacklists to protect users, so its important to know from which protection that message originates on their computer(s).
  14. You're welcome. I hope it helped you decide!
  15. Definitely a different question! Without getting overly technical, I would say yes. Anti-Malware uses signatures and heuristics to analyze memory and files for threats. Anti-Exploit analyzes methods of communicating with programs that have (or may have) vulnerabilities (weaknesses). Some anti-malware is designed to avoid detection, but it still has to use certain methods to attack. Anti-Exploit prevents the attack from happening, but it is primarily used to shield certain applications which are often used as targets. In the simplest terms, Anti-Malware goes after the "what" and Anti-Exploit goes after the "how".
  16. At this point there are no plans to combine them. They fulfill different purposes.
  17. That's part of a custom scan. The UI has changed in the new version. Here's a help guide to get you started. Click on SCAN in the left panel and you can read more about it. http://www.malwarebytes.org/support/guides/mbam/
  18. I asked Maurice to update his response to you, just because it would blacklist your key at some point in the future. Exactly when is unclear, but it would happen. We all would much rather you have a good experience with Malwarebytes protection rather than what would likely have occurred. I'm glad there are still some keys left!
  19. You would need to tell us what version of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware she is using, and what the exact filename of the mbam clean tool is that she has. We have recently released Malwarebytes Anti-Malware version 2.0, and the NEW version of the clean tool supports both the old (1.75) version and the new version (2.0). The OLD version of the clean tool only supports Malwarebytes Anti-Malware version through version 1.75. Getting that clarified may provide an easy answer.
  20. This topic has been reopened at the OP's request. GPK111: This thread is obviously reopened, at your request. I have sent you a private message to that effect, but don't know if you know how to spot it. In any event, good luck in getting your issue resolved!
  21. Anti-Exploit is the product of Zero Vulnerability Labs, which Malwarebytes bought in 2013. It is definitely of value for non-XP users, including server users. The easiest way to think about the difference between Anti-Malware and Anti-Exploit (in very general terms) is that Anti-Malware guards against WHAT you are being attacked with, and Anti-Exploit guards against HOW you are being attacked. Two entirely different approaches to keeping you safe. Anti-Malware just had a major program update. Anti-Exploit was just introduced. Both are the result of long processes. Trying to mold them together into a single piece would have resulted in a mess, given the amount of time involved and the complexity. Maybe one day they'll be one, but not now.
  22. Trial version offers full protection for fourteen days. Make sure that you go to SETTINGS > DETECTION and PROTECTION and enable both MALWARE PROTECTION and MALICIOUS WEBSITE PROTECTION.
  23. If you miss it, does that mean that you had/have a lifetime license?
  24. Did you receive an email from either Malwarebytes or Cleverbridge with an ID and KEY on it? If so, that ID and KEY should be used to ACTIVATE the product. Your trial version would then become the Premium version.
