  3. Argh, send the wrong Addition.txt: here is the correct one. Addition.txt
  4. Let me add however; since this episode started MBAM does not appear in the system tray as it had been for years. I did reinstall but nothing changed. So, I'm assuming it's not running until I manually start it. That is one difference in the system. I also received a warning that the MS Security Center had stopped running automaticall but after some effort it does not display in the servcies.msc. As a matter of fact looking at msconfig the entry for MBAM has diappeared. Where is the appropriate place to pursue these issues? Regards, Tom C
  5. I've run the ZOEK file, but I did it twice. I neglected to run as Administrator the first time so I've run a 2nd time and include that. I turned off the Avast AV for 10 minutes but the file seemed to run much longer than that. The are the 'results' file. Results the first time are the 'results-a' file. 7. I am running Malwarebytes Premium (paid for version). It recently discovered and quaranteend about 450 PUPS after installing a download. After the quaranteen I notices MBAM did not appear in the system tray so I reinstalled; no change. I also discovered that 'Security Center" was not running but was able to fix that. I would like to insure that my system is clean and see MBAM once again runs in the System Tray. Would appreciate any help. Thanks, Tom C
  8. Yes, I know it's not a startup manager; but it has been included in MSCONFIG in the past and I'm wondering where did it go and how to reinstall so that it will startup in the boot process. Tom C
  9. KenW, I got an email from MegaGeek and they no longer have a 'free' version. Told me they were going to make a statement on their website but you may want to contact them. I do encourage you to do that; they are the experts in what products they have. They did mention they are having a problem with people re-poackaging their old 'free' product. Tom C
  10. Recently I searched for the 'free' version of inSIDDER to see if I could identify any channel issues on my wifi netowrk. I had not been able to find this version on the vender website; so using the DuckDuckGo search engine I searched for 'free inSIDDer' and downloaded it. The installation was very slow and my AV software (Avast) reported it could be couterfeit. I ran Malwarebytes Premium manually and it reported just under 450 PUPs and quananteened them. Also then did a full scan with Avast; it didn't find anything. I am now finding that I needed to run MBAM Premium manually since it is
