  1. Thank you for all your help. My alternative was a complete wipe and reinstall. And, thank you for all the great security tips.

  2. How do I manually uninstall these programs? Sorry, I don't quite understand. Thank you.
  3. The avast-browser cleanup is still reporting errors for IE. Does this matter?

  5. Is there anything that I can do about that? Also, do you have advice about how to not get infected again and what software do you recommend to mitigate my risk? Thanks.
  6. Not any more! This is great. Still my internet explorer is messed up. It says that there is an "incomplete uninstallation of some browser add-ons. It says to click "complete manual uninstallation" to reset all related browser settings. When I try to reset it gives the error message.
  7. The browser clean up says that MS internet explorer could not be updated. It says please close your browser and repeat current operation. I didn't open the browser. I don't know what to do.
  8. Do I want to fix registry errors with ccleaner also or just leave that for now?
  9. Well, not redirecting from firefox currently. But, let me restart and try again. I am not sure this is permanent. But, here are the logs for now. Thanks. Addition.txt FRST.txt
