  1. ^ I should add, the game requires me to start it twice, and the dll pops up and still uses a fair amount of memory. I just close it and all seems right with the world. Ideally I wouldn't have to do that...
  2. Hello Ron, I mean the computer is fine except for my game executable that requires me to start it twice to get it to launch. I will re-install after I get back from vacation. Should I update you here if I continue to have a problem, or open a new thread? Thanks for all of your help!!
  3. Okay, thank you - I have attached the file. Perhaps I will try reinstalling my game and see if that makes a difference. Thanks! Fixlog.txt

  5. My computer has had no known problems and has run great. I just noticed an odd thing recently when I went to start my video game .exe. I would click on it, and something would run, but my game wouldn't load. I would like the .exe and it would run, the second time. I also noticed my computer fan was running constantly and my computer game was running a bit slow. I traced it back to the dll file. When I click the game .exe file the first time, that dll file opens and starts hogging memory. Still, after going through all of these steps (thanks by the way!), these same problems still occur. I've attached my files.
  6. Hi Ron, It appears I am still have the same issue I started with - when I open a game exe, the rundll starts and is still using a fair amount of my memory / processor. Is this normal? I am happy to re-run everything again and send you the files to check...?
  7. Curiosity got the best of me. I ran the game and the dll opened up again (had to click my game twice to get it to run). The dll is now just using ~40% of my processor instead of ~75%. For what it's worth...
  8. Okay, thank you. I performed these steps and Chrome is working fine now. Should I try and open the video game that was giving me the dll error now?
  9. I have attached a screenshot to explain the above...
  10. After it ran and I rebooted my computer, when I pulled up my browser a webpage loaded automatically that looked stranged - asked about seeing facebook pictures or something (FWIW). Fixlog.txt
  11. Yes - sorry and thanks! FRST.txt scan summary.txt

  13. Hello, when I run certain programs they don't on first click, instead a rundll32.exe*32 appears in my procecesses and uses ~75% of my memory/processor. I see that others have had similar problems, so I'm following in their steps. I ran my Malwarebytes scan, it found nothing. I then downloaded Farbar recovery and ADW cleaner and ran both. I have attached my FRST file. The ADW cleaner did find one "thing" and cleaned it. Thank you! FRST.txt
