  1. I cant do any of those things listed, I've already read through and tried everything, see, I can't open, install, run...none of that. I can't seem to do ANYTHING. Also, I was going to just simply re-install windows, but I can't read the key on the sticker on the bottom of my laptop, it is worn off. I am completely perplexed at this point, is there a time when a trojan or something simply can't be fixed?
  2. So I think I am infected with a virus, but I am not a hundred percent sure. I've been trying to google search the problem, but it is kind of a weird problem and I haven't been able to find anything quite like this in two days! I am currently unable to run...well...anything, except a few things. I can run my web browser, league of legends, winamp, and some basic programs like that, but I am unable to run anything to figure out what wrong with my computer. I have tried chkdsk, I've tried running CMD (it will run in regular mode, but can't run it as administrator) regedit, tried installing a few things (malwarebytes was one of them) and I can't do it. This is the message I get generally: "Windows cannot find C:/(insert path and program here) make sure you typed the name correctly and try again." I am also getting: This file does not have a program associated with it please isntall a program or, if one is already installed, create a default association in Default Programs control panel." whenever I try to open like control panel, or anything like that (from the windows+X shortcut.) I am using windows 8 on an HP Pavillion g7 laptop. Any help would be appreciated. The reason I said I THINK I have a virus is I havent really noticed much in the way of performance issues, maybe a LITTLE slower, but not really noticible.
