Touch wood, but so far everything is running smoothly. I made the exclusions in Bitdefender as well. Going forward if I continue to have issues I will probably decide just to keep one or the other after my subscriptions expire. As I understand it, if I keep MBAM, I also need to use Defender for the firewall component, correct? Thanks for your help AdvancedSetup

Ok, I have installed BD and ran a scan with no issues. I will install MBAM later tonight, that way we can see if it's that introducing any issues. Thanks for those other recommendations. I'll report back.

I don't really want to put Kaspersky on here. By this stage, wouldn't we be pretty confident the PC is malware free? I don't think this was ever a malware issue, but some corruption caused by MBAM (which could have been because of an incompatibility with other security software). When can I start reinstalling either BD or MBAM? Not comfortable having those uninstalled for this amount of time, and need to do work on this PC tomorrow. Thanks.

As I use ThreatLocker Zero Trust, that may be why elevation prompt is disabled, for some programs it takes care of elevation for me. Am I to use the same fixlist.txt as before?
