  1. Hi. I recently bought a brand new laptop. I've had it for about 3 weeks. I noticed the problem that I'm about to describe yesterday. And then again today, 3 times so far. I use Google Chrome as my browser. The issue is this. I'll be browsing, reading the news or something else that has nothing to do with downloading files or anything. And I notice at the bottom left Chrome telling me that a file called setup.exe is downloading, and then (about a second later), that it has downloaded. I've been deleting the downloaded setup.exe file each time. Once, out of curiosity, I ran it and it asked me to install Delta Search Toolbar or something. I closed the installation window and deleted the setup file. This is from Chrome's Download history: TodayJul 20, 2013Setup.exehttp://dl.flvplayer123.com/n/3.0.15.3/8923535/Setup.exe?tid=10274ef44fff1e20720282112cbcf9Show in folderRemove from listSetup.exeRemovedhttp://dl.flvplayer123.com/n/3.0.15.3/9107993/Setup.exe?tid=10274ef44fff1e20720282112cbcf9Remove from listYesterdayJul 19, 2013Setup.exeRemovedhttp://dl.flvplayer123.com/n/3.0.15.3/8923535/Setup.exe?tid=102ece01a2cc5c48633187d7fdd4acRemove from listFor the last link, "4ac" goes after "7fdd", where the ellipses are. I ran a quick, then a full scan in Malwarebytes and nothing turned up. I have AVG as my antivirus and it has shown nothing lately. The only program that I have downoaded lately is Tether (tether.com), which lets you tether from your phone. I've used the program in the past on other computers with no problem and all of its reviews etc. seem legit. I've had no other symptoms of a virus or malware or anything of the sort. This is such an odd little problem. Any thoughts?
  2. Hello, I got a new computer about a week ago. Today, I got Usenet/sabnzbd set up on it and downloaded a few files. Big mistake. My computer started acting funny. Blinking cursor and such. I decided to give up Usenet (a good decision anyways, probably). I removed Sabnzbd, deleted all downloaded files, and restarted my computer. Now, the blinking cursor is gone, but every minute or two Malwarebytes pops up with "Successfully blocked access to a potentially malicious website: 80.82.66.43." This is a brand new computer and I just want to get it back in great shape. Help would be greatly appreciated. I ran a quick scan on Malwarebytes and it removed 2 trojans. I have a full scan running at the moment.
