  1. It is the malwarebytes quick scan. If it's nothing to worry about, I'll just ignore it. Do you think that uninstalling it and re-installing it will help? Thank You for your help Mieke! Rick
  2. Hi Miekiemoes First, I'd like to say that I'm very grateful for the help that you're giving me. The quick scan is the one that detects this. A box pops up and asks what to do with the suspect file. It reads this....... Enumerating registry object Objects scanned 4097 Objects infected 0 Time elapsed 6 seconds currently scanning c:\windows\system32\zipfile In the box that pops up, it reads the following: the heuristic detected a suspect file HEUR/StrangeAutorun It won't quaratine it. Could this be some sort of false positive? Should I unistall and re-install malwarebytes? Thank You Miekiemoes Rick
  3. If it's not a detection by malwarebytes then when does it show up? This is the latest log. It's still showing up. Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware 1.39 Database version: 2498 Windows 5.1.2600 Service Pack 3 7/25/2009 9:21:58 AM mbam-log-2009-07-25 (09-21-58).txt Scan type: Quick Scan Objects scanned: 103645 Time elapsed: 8 minute(s), 31 second(s) Memory Processes Infected: 0 Memory Modules Infected: 0 Registry Keys Infected: 0 Registry Values Infected: 0 Registry Data Items Infected: 0 Folders Infected: 0 Files Infected: 0 Memory Processes Infected: (No malicious items detected) Memory Modules Infected: (No malicious items detected) Registry Keys Infected: (No malicious items detected) Registry Values Infected: (No malicious items detected) Registry Data Items Infected: (No malicious items detected) Folders Infected: (No malicious items detected) Files Infected: (No malicious items detected)
  4. When I run the malwarebytes quick scan, "HEUR/Strange/Autorun" shows up as malicious, but it won't quarantine the file. It only shows up on the quick scan not the complete scan and when I run both scans in safe mode. nothing shows up. I've also used avira, spybot and superantispy, but none of them show anything being infected. In addition, when something is typed into the yahoo search, after initially going to the results page, it redirects back to yahoo. Here are the logs from malwarebytes and avira....... When I typed malwarebytes into the Yahoo browser, it redirected back to Yahoo. It happened twice.
  7. Hi, I typed it in and a window popped up that said, Windows cannot find mbam.exe/developer I checked several times and I typed it in correctly.
  8. When I run the quick scan, HEUR/Strange/Autorun shows up as malicious, but it won't quarantine the file. It only shows up on the quick scan. I've also used avira, spybot and superantispy, but none of them anything being infected. Is this a false positive? Thanks Rick
