  1. Anyone with paid copies seeing this kind of stuff? When I had the free version I always knew to be on guard for extra stuff but this is over the top. I hope they learn from this. We have 3 paid copies here so no issues. -- Jim
  2. What is mbam-check? I have the paid-for version of Malwarebytes, but I can't find an executable or cmd/bat file by that name. It sounds like a useful tool. As for the name truncation problem, I ran into that this morning. I found that on the Scan Results screen you can select "Save Results >>" and create a text or xml file, or copy the results to the clipboard. The text file is comma delimited and can be imported by Excel. There is no truncation. I had a nice screen shot but couldn't figure out how to upload it to "My Media." -- Jim
  3. I thought this was going to be my question, but it turned out not to be. I'm afraid my request (unless I've overlooked something) may be further down the road:: a complete dictionary of the "nicknames" given to malware. For example, today, I got the following: C:\Users\Jim\Downloads\EzPE3_8.7z (PUP.Hacktool.HiddenStart) -> Quarantined and deleted successfully. C:\Users\Jim\Downloads\EzPE3_v7.7z (PUP.Hacktool.HiddenStart) -> Quarantined and deleted successfully. WTF (excuse my "French") is a "PUP.Hacktool.HiddenStart?" I know it's a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) meaning unless I put it there (I did) I should worry about how it did get there. but what about the rest of the definition. I'm not too concerned about this example, but why not have a big alphabetical lest of these terms (there is obviously a convention for constructing them just like there is for viruses) and post it on your web site. I apologize if it is there and I've overlooked it. BTW Malwarebytes Pro is a great program! -- Jim
