  1. You're welcome If you hadn't said anything I wouldn't have noticed lol Nice picture otherwise though
  2. Maurice, My apologies for missing your inquiry to me earlier. Buttons is correct, the exclusions page from the Common Issues, Questions, and Solutions is where I got my information from. I also need to re-read this thread over some more, very informative
  3. Absolutely Or you can come back to this thread, which I can easily link you to Good luck!
  4. Hoodies would be sweeeeet!! Black with a big red M
  5. Sorry, I apologize! I couldn't tell what it was.
  6. Exile, I do think that it is good that they are hosting them. I just thought that they perhaps might pull it down since Microsoft themselves have pulled it down. I know I would have been lost without it last year with my registry mishap occurred. I am definitely going to save the copy that I already have in a backup location in case I ever need it in the future.
  7. No problem FYI to anyone else reading this... I am not trying to start a debate or be rude or anything... I'm just saying that if someplace is still hosting this program I find it irresponsible for reasons mentioned in my post just before this one. Thanks
  8. Yeah I wasn't necessarily asking you personally why it was still available for download. I just think (personally) that it is kind of irresponsible for them to be hosting the download when Microsoft has chosen to take it down for what I feel to be very legitimate reasons.
  9. Great, I'm glad that you found a solution. I wonder why Softpedia still has it up for download though, because Microsoft took it down due to potential issues of permanent damage from what I understand...
  10. Awesome, thanks for the confirmation Ron Now I have another question about it if it's possible for me to ask... will the updates from then on be just incremental or can a user choose to download the entire database at once the way it's always been OR choose to download updates incrementally?
  11. I might actually still have the Windows Installer Clean Up utility on my machine as I used it a year and a half ago after my registry cleaning mishap... but I don't know if I can transfer it at all since it's an executable.
  12. This is really weird... the first looks almost like shortcut to Adobe Reader... and the second looks almost like I think Adobe Acrobat. My Adobe Reader shortcut looks like the attached picture. The top image is when it's in the shortcut folder I made for all my shortcuts, the bottom picture is when I drag the icon to the desktop. Do you have Adobe Reader or Acrobat installed? Also the words under the icons look cut off... click on the icon if you can (just a single click, you don't need to double click), and does it say anything other than Shortcut to ? Also please answer any questions that Maurice asked if you haven't already so that if anyone else has any ideas they can help you better.
  13. I purchased a medium-sized one the other day and I like it so I thought I'd share it with you all here It's a neat little thing that keeps your cords safe, organized, and best of all, no tangles! It comes in three sizes - small, medium, and large. And it comes in different colors too. Check it out! www.mybobino.com
  14. I was just wondering because I used to use AVG Internet Security and Malwarebytes in real-time together and they (surprisingly to me) worked nicely together. Have you added exclusions? If not, I would definitely recommend doing so (Section H): http://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?a...&pid=167851 Also you might consider doing a clean install of Malwarebytes after adding exclusions (AVG might have wiped out something in Malwarebytes and it would be a good idea to do a clean install): Windows XP: Click on Start and select Control Panel Open Add/Remove Programs Uninstall Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware Restart your computer very important Download and run mbam-clean.exe from here NOTE: If you get SHGetValue failed with error code 0, that only means that the tool has nothing to perform, continue on with the next step.... It will ask to restart your computer, please allow it to do so very important After the computer restarts, temporarily disable your Anti-Virus and install the latest version of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from here. Or here, (this is my preferred download location): http://majorgeeks.com/Malwarebytes_Anti-Malware_d5756.html Note: You will need to reactivate the program using the license you were sent via email if using the Pro version Launch the program and set the Protection and Registration. Then go to the UPDATE tab if not done during installation and check for updates. Restart the computer again and verify that MBAM is in the task tray if using the Pro version. Let me know if those help or not. If not, unfortunately those are my only ideas but someone else should be able to help you
  15. AVG has been known to interfere with Mbam and target it as a threat at times unfortunately Do you have the internet security version of AVG or just the AV? As a side note, please use the "ADD REPLY" button located at the bottom of the page when replying.
  16. Regarding Shy's post above -- I clicked on your link yardbird and it redirected me to a sites.google.com site which was then blocked by my hostsfile, as sites.google.com sites always seemed to be blocked for me. I am not sure why they get blocked but I am sure that there must be a reason.
  17. Do you think you can find an image on the web that matches your description? Be careful though, you don't want to get infected, so if you don't feel comfortable doing this by all means don't do it. This is Adobe's website if you think it's related: http://www.adobe.com/
