  1. Got it Steven, realized that right after I posted
  2. find mailwares spywae Edit: Anlysing
  3. You're welcome Glad you've seemed to have resolved your issue, ricmitch I think it would be worth visiting the malware removal forum still though, just in case something is still lingering on your system.
  4. I also love the Lord of the Rings movies. And Harry Potter hehe.
  5. Hello ricmitch, and welcome to the forums here at Malwarebytes.org You have a nasty infection. Your router may also be infected. You may need to reset it entirely as well as the following. Please read the following so that you may begin the cleaning process and if necessary, your helper will have you reset your router as well: We don't work on Malware removal in the general forums. Please read and follow the directions here, skipping any steps you are unable to complete. Then post a NEW topic here. One of the expert helpers there will give you one-on-one assistance when one becomes available. Please note that it may take 48 hours or more for you to receive a response in the malware removal forum, as it is often busy at times. Please do not reply to your own post asking for help unless its been more than 48 hours since you originally posted, as this can make it appear as though you are being helped and take longer for you to get help. If you are unable to do all or any of the steps in the link to the directions above, just post your problem into the forum I gave you a link to anyway and someone will be able to assist you. Also, when replying, please use the "ADD REPLY" button located at the bottom of the page, as this makes the forum easier to read. After posting your new post make sure under options that you select Track this topic and choose one of the Email options so that you're alerted when someone has replied to your post. Thank you
  6. I would have posted something about a movie I like but I am kinda bad at describing movies sometimes, lol. I like IMDB. My favorites? I have a top 6: (in no particular order) The Shawshank Redemption Braveheart 12 Angry Men (original with Henry Fonda) The Princess Bride Dragonheart (I'll fill in the last one here later, can't quite remember it at the moment).
  7. Happy Happy Birthday Hope it's a great one, and many many more to come!!
  8. I voted MSE because it definitely is very set and forgot. I have installed Avira on a machine who's users aren't very tech savvy, and they haven't had any issues so far. I am considering switching them over to MSE though (just because I've heard that version 10 has had some issues including with MBAM), we'll see. I keep an eye on that machine when I can, hehe. SpyBot is good for immunization; I do NOT recommend enabling/using TeaTimer (the realtime protection) very bloated and these days honestly won't do you much good unfortunately.
  9. No, you are right, I am not a developer or anything like that. I don't entirely know what that means, but I can look it up. Yes. lets wait for someone on Staff to answer your question.
  10. Hello malwarebite, and welcome to the forums here at Malwarebytes.org I'm not sure what you are talking about here? That's pretty much normal, mine looks like that too. As a side note, please use the "ADD REPLY" button at the bottom of the page. Thank you
  11. You are most welcome! Enjoy your stay here
  12. Buttons, Ours isn't too old but eh lightbulbs go out. At least we have a non-spring bed so I can stand on it to change the bulb, yay! Otherwise it would be stretching and hoping not to fall off the chair, lol. Yay for lightbulbs
  13. hehe YoKenny1 Buttons, I changed a lightbulb like 3-5 days ago now? I go into our room, turn on the light and FLASH its out. yahoo! lol
  14. hehe and what about the dangers of potentially getting some dead bug spillage whilst changing a light bulb? lol. Gross I know, but it happens sometimes
  15. That's good It's a good idea to change passwords every few months or so too.
  16. You're welcome That password checker is a good one. I have a different password for everything, I almost always have, and they're pretty complicated and usually long too. hehe Maybe someone accidentally entered your user name instead of theirs when requesting a password.
  17. So how's it going with the computers, Buttons?
  18. Hi Benny, I think we are pretty much done here but honestly I think that you should get an AV even though you mostly do browsing and forum activities. You should give MSE (Microsoft Security Essentials) a try. Again, you are quite welcome! Thank you!
  19. Perhaps someone tried to do a password retrieval for your username without you knowing? I'd advise you to change your email password as well as your forum passwords and also make them different, complicated passwords. As a side note, when replying, please use the "ADD REPLY" button at the bottom of the page.
  20. Thank you for the compliments Perez, the staff always appreciate hearing them I'm glad that Malwarebytes and someone here were able to help you out. As for your question, no, Malwarebytes is NOT also an antivirus application. It is meant to be used with your antivirus solution. Are you currently using an antivirus? In case you aren't, The following are my recommendations for antivirus protection along with links to downloads for them (free trials for those that require a purchase so you can try them before deciding): Kaspersky (free 30 day trial) The official support forum for this product can be found here Avira Antivir (free for home use) The official support forum for this product can be found here ESET NOD32 (free 30 day trial) The official support forum for this product can be found here Microsoft Security Essentials (free for home use) The official support forum for this product can be found here Avast! (free for home use) The official support forum for this product can be found here Note: If you decide to use one of the trial versions of one of the paid antiviruses then you will either need to purchase it or uninstall it completely and install a replacement antivirus before the trial expires so that your PC is not left unprotected. 21. @sho-dan Doesn't CCleaner clean out flash cookies too? When I use it and look at the results after, I usually see that Flash items have been cleared out.
