  1. Hello ducky3650, and welcome to the forums here at Malwarebytes.org You should have received an email from Cleverbridge with your Malwarebytes license and receipt. Did you check your junk or spam folder? And did you purchase from a URL that looks like this: https://store.malwarebytes.org/342/?scope=c...&cart=29945
  2. coconutnut, Typically only a QUICK scan is needed, just so you know for the future As for the results found in your scan, those items are actually in the system restore area of your computer, and as far as I understand cannot harm your computer unless you use an infected restore point.
  3. Hello jr213 and welcome to the forums here at Malwarebytes.org The only file you need to copy to your flash drive (or burn to CD if you prefer) is the Mbam setup file. However, if the reason you are transferring the file is because your son's computer is unable to get online, you will also need to get a copy of rules.ref from a working computer as outline here in Issue #4: http://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?s...ost&p=49525 Please note that Mbam cannot be run off a flash drive or a CD and can just be transferred via flash drive or CD. Please also note, in case you didn't already know, that one Mbam license is required per computer if you wish to use the registered version on a second computer. However, if you wish to use your existing license on a new computer and take it off of an old one, we have directions for that as well. As a side note, when replying, please use the "ADD REPLY" button located at the bottom of the page. Thank you B)
  4. TD5, I'm glad that Firefox's advice in that post enabled you to clean out your temp files & run a full scan. Just for future reference though, typically only a QUICK scan is needed. Yes, please do move on to the Malware Removal Forum, and good luck! B)
  5. Just remembered my other top movie the other day. Secondhand Lions B) And I'm going to have to see me some Godzilla
  6. You're welcome Joe! Have you been infected recently or do you have reason to believe that you may have been infected recently? Even though you haven't used LimeWire for a while, have you had it running in the background when these alerts were going off? If so, exit out of it and see if the IP popups persist. Additionally, I highly, highly recommend uninstalling LimeWire and never using it or any other p2p program again. Essentially, p2p usage is almost a guarantee to get infected. Have a read here: http://www.us-cert.gov/cas/tips/ST05-007.html
  7. Hello TD5, and welcome to the forums here at Malwarebytes.org Please read the following so that you may finish the cleaning process: We don't work on Malware removal in the general forums. Please read and follow the directions here, skipping any steps you are unable to complete. Then post a NEW topic here. One of the expert helpers there will give you one-on-one assistance when one becomes available. Please note that it may take 48 hours or more for you to receive a response in the malware removal forum, as it is often busy at times. Please do not reply to your own post asking for help unless its been more than 48 hours since you originally posted, as this can make it appear as though you are being helped and take longer for you to get help. If you are unable to do all or any of the steps in the link to the directions above, just post your problem into the forum I gave you a link to anyway and someone will be able to assist you. Also, when replying, please use the "ADD REPLY" button located at the bottom of the page, as this makes the forum easier to read. After posting your new post make sure under options that you select Track this topic and choose one of the Email options so that you're alerted when someone has replied to your post. Thank you
  8. Hello JOE7500, and welcome to the forums here at Malwarebytes.org and thank you for your purchase When are you getting these popups (while browsing, when you're not...) and how often? Off and on or are they quite constant? Do you use any P2P software (examples: uTorrent, LimeWire, Vuze...)? As a side note, when replying, please use the "ADD REPLY" button located at the bottom of the page. Thank you
  9. Well for now try 1 pass or 3 passes and see if that helps
  10. Thanks sho-dan Very true! I'll give them a try, and they'll definitely be at the top of my list. I hope to get some shoes on Friday, or very soon. I'll post back to let you know what I decide.
  11. Thanks sho-dan I'm glad that they've been working well for you! I do some walking outside but mostly I do exercise videos where most of the walking is in like a 3x3 foot area, do you think they'd be good for that as well? I don't mind paying that much so long as they are one heck of a shoe, which it sounds like they are B) And I wouldn't mind being 2 inches taller sometimes, I am a little on the short side, hehe.
  12. I was thinking about getting some of these shoes: (since I haven't had a pair of sneakers for over a year and a half now, lol). www.skechers.com/shoes-and-clothing/styles/fitness/shape-ups_information/list But they are a bit pricey so I am not sure if I want to go with those or go with another shoe brand I've used for years. I'm getting into exercise again after a long, unnecessary slacking period lol... so I want to get a really good pair of sneakers. So I was wondering if anyone has them or knew anyone who has them and what your opinions them are. I know this isn't exactly the forum for this but I am only a member of two forums and everyone here is so great so a-posting I go B)
  13. coconutnut, Have you tried running ATF cleaner first? (click to download if you don't have it already) How to use & about page: http://www.atribune.org/index.php?option=c...5&Itemid=25 Do you have any reason to believe that you may have been infected recently?
  14. Happy Happy Birthday!!! Enjoy your day
  15. Please use the add reply button at the bottom of the page in the future when replying, since it makes the forum easier to read Please check out this thread here: http://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?s...st&p=235949 And also please see here: http://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?s...st&p=167851 Let me know if that does the trick for you!
  16. Hello mdw46, and welcome to the forums here at Malwarebytes.org and thank you for your purchase Which AV program are you using?
  17. Hello Nicky2010, and welcome to the forums here at Malwarebytes.org I am having a little trouble understanding your question. Are you asking if you should check-off the rogue installers once the scan has completed on the scan results screen and choose "remove selected"? If so, yes, you definitely need to click "remove selected". If this is not what you are asking, could you please explain in a little more detail what you mean? As for not being able to click the tabs before you have chosen to do something with the scan results or not, this is the way Malwarebytes works; you can only have one tab open at a time. And when you are running a scan (and this includes the screen where the scan has finished and you are deciding what to do with the results) Malwarebytes is not designed to allow you to click another tab until you have completed the scan (and in your case and in the case of anyone who gets scan results or even if you don't get scan results, choosing to do something with the results or choosing to exit the scan results page, whether or not something was found). As a side note, when replying, please use the "ADD REPLY" button located at the bottom of the page. Thank you B)
  18. Everything's okay now, but, I decided to randomly check my Mbam's website blocker and when I right-clicked on the tray icon, Website Blocking was not ticked off. I clicked on it to tick it on, waited a bit, checked it, and it was still not ticked. I kept trying this and nothing happened. I checked my settings and it was set to start with Windows. No matter how many times I tried to tick it off it wouldn't do it. So I figured before I posted I'd restart. All is well now, Website blocking is ticked now, and unticking and then re-ticking worked just fine too. Any idea why this might happen, though? I mean, shouldn't clicking to re-tick it work, or is a restart required sometimes for the website blocking to turn on again? XP SP3
  19. Hmm that's strange. That's never happened to me. Maybe try uninstalling & reinstalling CCleaner. If that doesn't work, try uninstalling & reinstalling Firefox (make sure you save your book marks and any settings just in case, although when you uninstall it asks if you want to retain your bookmarks so you should be safe).
  20. Hello ChrisCool and welcome to the forums here at Malwarebytes.org Please re-post your post here: http://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showforum=7 And someone will be along to assist you as soon as possible. Please note that it could take 48 hours or more during busy periods to get a response, so please be patient and do not reply to your post asking for help unless its been longer than 48 hours and you haven't gotten a reply yet. Replying to your own post makes it appear as though you are already getting help and that can make it take longer for you to get help. Thank you
  21. Hello & welcome! Enjoy your stay here
