  1. Thanks much, Firefox. I just restarted MB (after I manually killed it following the reboot that didn't change anything) -- not currently experiencing the problem. Same versions as you. The service is currently at 234MB (working set) and climbing slowly (about 250K per minute, unscientifically). [It was near 500MB when I killed it it before.] If I experience any problems, I'll attach all the logs. Thanks!
  2. Hi, I am experiencing RAM hogging that is similar to the oops release of several weeks ago. Exiting MalwareBytes greatly reduces RAM usage by the MB service and restores my system to normal. Anyone else?
  3. Thanks, hopper15! False positive, just as most of us figured.
  4. Same problem here. Symantec certificate revocation info site -- s/be harmless. Guess we'll see...
  5. Adding a file to the exclusions list worked for me, too -- thank you.
  6. I guess I can't edit posts once I hit the add reply button? *Result* in higher sales, sorry.
  7. exile360, Thanks for replying. I do understand the diff between real-time threat scanning and periodic on-demand scanning. What I don't understand are the details. Are you familiar w/ Spy Sweeper? It provides a specific (and well-documented!) set of features. Are there screenshots of Malwarebytes paid interface? A list of the system elements it protects? Put another way: the price ($24.95 USD) is clearly articulated, but what I get for my money is vaguely articulated (paraphrase: "It will protect you."). Since Malwarebytes competes w/ other products, I'm guessing that paying more emphasis to the marketing side will reside in higher sales. There have to be many people like me who understand what the free version does, but who need to be given more info before coughing up $20+ for several computers. Thanks!
  8. I've thoroughly checked the Web site and skimmed the forum, but I can't find anything more than this on paid mode: "Activating the full version unlocks realtime protection" What does it do? How does it work? Is it like Spy Sweeper? Different? Thank you. My apologies if this is already explained in a logical place and I missed it.
