  1. Same here. Web Protection off at start, malware protection turning off shortly thereafter and programme will not scan.
  2. Thank you. Can you expand on what exactly you mean by 'misused legit files.' Is there a possibility that I still have malware installed on my computer? I have run full scans with Microsoft Security Essentials and the Eset Online Scanner and nothing was found.
  3. I run a 32-Bit Operating System. I updated to Malwarebytes 2.0.1 on 13 April, 2014, after which I ran a full scan. The programme quarantined the following which it identified as Trojan.0Access. LogFile.txt
  4. For the last couple of days, Malwarebytes Pro has been throwing up regular IP Block warnings relating to IP Addresses 54.240.166.3 through to 54.240.166.239 ( Outgoing; Various Ports; Process - iexplore.exe.) Full scans with Malwarebytes Pro and Microsoft Security Essentials find nothing. An IP lookup suggests that the aforesaid addresses may belong to AmazonCom.
  5. That may well be the case but the fact that the Protection Log states that the quarantine did fail is somewhat unsettling to say the least. They cannot both be right. I will remove and then reinstall Foxit Reader as opposed to restoring the 'quarantined' files. Thank you for your assistance.
  6. Shadowwar, I was in the process of submitting my second post when you posted your first entry. I would like to try and understand what is going on before I restore any files. The situation I have at the moment is as follows. If I open the Quarantine Tab on Malwarebytes in my Standard User Account it shows two quarantined files ( C:\Program Files\Foxit Software\Foxit Reader\plugins\Speech.fpi Trojan.Passwords.LD QUARANTINE; C:\Program Files\Foxit Software\Foxit Reader\plugins\Updater.fpi Trojan.Passwords.LD QUARANTINE.) The Protection Log states that Quarantine failed for both of these files. If I open the Quarantine Tab in my Admin Account, it shows the aforesaid files plus a third file ( C:\Users\Hommin\AppData\Local\Temp\Foxit Updater.exe (Trojan.Passwords.LD) -> Quarantined and deleted successfully.) If quarantine failed for the first two files and the third was quarantined and deleted successfully after a reboot, how is it possible to restore them?
  7. Further to the above, on logging onto my Admin Account and running a quick scan, the following file was detected, quarantined and deleted following a reboot. Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (PRO) 1.70.0.1100 www.malwarebytes.org Database version: v2013.03.22.08 Windows Vista Service Pack 2 x86 NTFS Internet Explorer 9.0.8112.16421 Admin :: CHILLBLAST [administrator] Protection: Enabled 22/03/2013 16:57:45 mbam-log-2013-03-22 (16-57-45).txt Scan type: Quick scan Scan options enabled: Memory | Startup | Registry | File System | Heuristics/Extra | Heuristics/Shuriken | PUP | PUM | P2P Scan options disabled: Objects scanned: 232122 Time elapsed: 1 minute(s), 53 second(s) Memory Processes Detected: 0 (No malicious items detected) Memory Modules Detected: 0 (No malicious items detected) Registry Keys Detected: 0 (No malicious items detected) Registry Values Detected: 0 (No malicious items detected) Registry Data Items Detected: 0 (No malicious items detected) Folders Detected: 0 (No malicious items detected) Files Detected: 1 C:\Users\Hommin\AppData\Local\Temp\Foxit Updater.exe (Trojan.Passwords.LD) -> Quarantined and deleted successfully. (end) I have since run full scans and nothing has been found.
  8. I opened a pdf file yesterday using Foxit Reader at which time Malwarebytes ( Pro ) immediately informed me that it had quarantined two files. I opened Malwarbytes, clicked on the Quarantine Tab and both files were showing. However, when I checked the Protection Log, it shows quarantine failed messages ( see below.) I was using a Standard User Account at the time. 2013/03/22 16:09:31 GMT CHILLBLAST (null) MESSAGE IP Protection started successfully 2013/03/22 16:25:48 GMT CHILLBLAST Hommin DETECTION C:\Program Files\Foxit Software\Foxit Reader\plugins\Speech.fpi Trojan.Passwords.LD QUARANTINE 2013/03/22 16:25:48 GMT CHILLBLAST Hommin DETECTION C:\Program Files\Foxit Software\Foxit Reader\plugins\Updater.fpi Trojan.Passwords.LD QUARANTINE 2013/03/22 16:26:55 GMT CHILLBLAST Hommin DETECTION c:\program files\foxit software\foxit reader\plugins\speech.fpi Trojan.Passwords.LD QUARANTINE 2013/03/22 16:26:55 GMT CHILLBLAST Hommin DETECTION c:\program files\foxit software\foxit reader\plugins\updater.fpi Trojan.Passwords.LD QUARANTINE 2013/03/22 16:26:55 GMT CHILLBLAST Hommin ERROR Quarantine failed: SDKQuarantine failed with error code 2 2013/03/22 16:26:55 GMT CHILLBLAST Hommin ERROR Quarantine failed: SDKQuarantine failed with error code 2 2013/03/22 16:28:02 GMT CHILLBLAST Hommin DETECTION c:\program files\foxit software\foxit reader\plugins\speech.fpi Trojan.Passwords.LD QUARANTINE 2013/03/22 16:28:02 GMT CHILLBLAST Hommin DETECTION c:\program files\foxit software\foxit reader\plugins\updater.fpi Trojan.Passwords.LD QUARANTINE 2013/03/22 16:28:02 GMT CHILLBLAST Hommin ERROR Quarantine failed: SDKQuarantine failed with error code 2 2013/03/22 16:28:02 GMT CHILLBLAST Hommin ERROR Quarantine failed: SDKQuarantine failed with error code 2 2013/03/22 16:56:52 GMT CHILLBLAST Admin DETECTION c:\program files\foxit software\foxit reader\plugins\speech.fpi Trojan.Passwords.LD QUARANTINE 2013/03/22 16:56:52 GMT CHILLBLAST Admin DETECTION c:\program files\foxit software\foxit reader\plugins\updater.fpi Trojan.Passwords.LD QUARANTINE 2013/03/22 16:56:52 GMT CHILLBLAST Admin ERROR Quarantine failed: SDKQuarantine failed with error code 2 2013/03/22 16:56:52 GMT CHILLBLAST Admin ERROR Quarantine failed: SDKQuarantine failed with error code 2 2013/03/22 16:57:37 GMT CHILLBLAST Admin DETECTION c:\program files\foxit software\foxit reader\plugins\updater.fpi Trojan.Passwords.LD QUARANTINE 2013/03/22 16:57:38 GMT CHILLBLAST Admin ERROR Quarantine failed: SDKQuarantine failed with error code 2 2013/03/22 17:02:13 GMT CHILLBLAST Admin MESSAGE Starting protection Do I have a problem?
