  1. I am also experiencing this same issue. I tried to do an update on the malwarebyes (free version) that is on my daughter's computer and it gave me the same error message when I tried to check for updates. Any help on finding a resolution would be greatly appreciated from me as well.
  2. Tried to run Malwarebytes tonight and instead got a runtime error 453 which it appears was due to the latest update. So, I came to the forums here, found the topic concerning this issue and followed the instructions regarding uninstalling malwarebytes, rebooting, running malwarebytes clean, rebooting again and reinstalling the latest version of malwarebytes. The only problem is that I was running the pro version before and now, have no clue where my product key and product ID are. I've checked my email archives, but I bought the product probably two years ago, and have since had my machine replaced due to hard ware issues, so many of my old emails are gone. Now I have no idea what to do. I could pay for another license key, but I've already bought the product, so I'd rather not do that unless I have no other alternative. There is no information on the product homepage about how one can retrieve this information from the company, so if anyone has a clue as to how I can get this information, I would love a heads up.
  3. My machine has been infected by some very annoying and very stubborn problems. I've run at least half a dozen scans with Malwarebytes as well as Spyware Doctor and neither has been able to remove the infections. Everytime I run Malwarebyes it says "some items could not be removed" then lists all 5 of the infections I'm trying to get rid of and says it will remove them on reboot, but once the computyer starts back up there they are still. I'd appreciate any help I can get. Here's the log from my last malwarebytes scan: Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware 1.36 Database version: 2066 Windows 5.1.2600 Service Pack 2 5/1/2009 8:14:55 PM mbam-log-2009-05-01 (20-14-52).txt Scan type: Quick Scan Objects scanned: 111473 Time elapsed: 4 minute(s), 21 second(s) Memory Processes Infected: 0 Memory Modules Infected: 0 Registry Keys Infected: 3 Registry Values Infected: 0 Registry Data Items Infected: 0 Folders Infected: 0 Files Infected: 2 Memory Processes Infected: (No malicious items detected) Memory Modules Infected: (No malicious items detected) Registry Keys Infected: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper Objects\{9a45b2be-588c-473a-9fa4-988948a1acb2} (Trojan.Vundo.H) -> No action taken.
