If and when this combination can be made to work together it will be a fantastic combination.

I'll leave this to the experts as I'm still working with an old rig. (XP Pro SP3) I'm sure they'll get you sorted.

Are you getting a pop-up from MBAM down near the system tray indicating that a potentially dangerous site has been blocked?

MBAM + HostsMan = Overkill

Thanks for the quick reply. It is as I suspected but always good to hear it from those in the know. -

If I may add a question to this already useful thread...(since I already use MBAM Pro and HostsMan)... Is the additional use of AdBlock Plus with Firefox okay if one is using the above? Any negatives to consider in doing so? Thanks in advance. -
Sorry, I don't have the info. The version was the one that was in use in mid January, 2011. More than than I cannot tell you as I have removed the software and any other license info.

Interestingly enough, the program is back to working normally (without a new clean installation) following the removal of KeyScrambler Pro from my computer. (I had decided that it was a layer of protection I didn't really need to rely on with the security afforded via OA, Sandboxie and MBAM.) For whatever reason, that did the trick.
-
I should also add that I have all security apps "excluded" from one another.

I've been a long time user and supporter of this software and run the Pro version on our two computers. (Win XP SP3) Lately, I've noticed that after a reboot, even though I have all protections checked and set to start with Windows, that unless I uncheck and recheck the "website blocking" feature, it will allow the browser to connect with the blocked site. (I use the MBAM test IP as well as a known blocked site for the test.) When I uncheck and recheck the blocking feature, it works as it should. Any idea as to why this is happening even though all the modules are checked in the tray? My other security apps are listed below my signature.

Well, so far so good...All test sites blocked and alerted to per normal. So, if it wasn't a hiccup maybe it was a touch of indigestion. In any case your recommendation is noted and if need be will be implemented. Thanks again.

Thanks for the reply. I am prepared to take the steps you have proposed but for the moment I am going to monitor how the program functions and see if it was just a hiccup. It is working fine at the moment when I test against known sites it ordinarily blocks from prior experience. By the way, I believe your link to the removal tool is either out of date or not functional (as of yesterday). Appreciate the quick reply and I'll let you know the status in a few days one way or another.

Forgot to mention that I am running the latest version of MBAM Pro...

(Running XP Pro SP3. Have never before noticed any issues running MBAM Pro...) I noticed something today I hadn't come across previously. I tested the "website blocking" earlier on a couple of sites I know that it ordinarily blocks and it allowed connection. After I removed and then replaced the check mark next to "website blocking" it then worked normally. (As if it needed to be reset for some reason.) I later noticed (after a reboot) during a test on the same sites that they were blocked but the popup didn't come up with the alert as usual. (This was remedied again by un-checking & then checking again). I've never noticed this behavior before and wonder if it's a known issue?
