  1. I uninstalled it. Then downloaded a fresh copy and installed. It will now let me run the updates. Mods - please feel free to delete this topic, since no other replies were ever posted. Thanks
  2. Wow - do I feel STUPID. Duh - in Notepad, all I had to do was click on Font and change it from WingDings. I SO wish I could delete this post - mods, please help me out here. All is good now.
  3. I can't read any of my log files. They all look like some kind of wing-ding font. What do I need to do to fix this?
  4. I'm trying to run the update for Malware Anti-Malware. I click on the update tab, then click on Check for Updates. It comes back with "Update Failed. Make sure you are connected to the Internet and your firewall is set to allow Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware to access the internet." I turned off Windows firewall and still get the same error. I turned Firewall back on, went to exceptions tab and put a check by Malwarebyte Anti-Malware and I still get the same Update Failed message. A little background.. I just started getting popups about your computer may be infected. I didn't install any of the remover programs it recommended. I went straight to Mawarebytes. I ran a scan and it found Trojan.Vundo and Trojan.BHO. I clicked the box to remove these - it did and required a reboot. I did that and everything seems to be working okay except for not being able to update Anti-Malware. I use AVG Anti-virus/Anti-Spyware and run updates regularly and scans every night. I AM able to run the update for AVG Anti-virus successfully. 1) How can I get past this update failed problem? 2) How did I get this crap while keeping up-to-date on Anti-Virus? 3) Do I need to just uninstall, download new Anti-Malware, and reinstall? Thanks for your help.
