  1. Hi all, Thanks to customer support my issue was resolved. If anyone else has the same problem, the solution in my case was: 1) Launch MBAM, under settings tab click >Update settings and uncheck the option "Check for program updates when checking for database updates". 2) Uninstall MBAM via control Panel >Programs and features >Uninstall a program. 3) Install MBAM version 4) After installation, activate license. 5) Re-enable "check for program updates when checking for database updates" and then manual update. I have no idea how this cyber magic works but thanks! Regards, Cu_sith.
  2. Hi, Thanks for taking the time to help me. I followed the clean install instructions accurately. The problem still persists, the requested screenshot is below. Regards, Cu_sith.
  3. Hi daledoc1, I assumed MBAM was up to date as the manual update said I was, I should have double checked. I followed the instructions for a clean install, it's clear to me MBAM is in a bad mood, it now thinks I have no internet connection (when I do) and won't allow me to use my Premium activation code. Any idea how to overcome this? Regards, Cu_sith.
  4. Hi all, Is anyone else having a problem with MBAMs malicious Website Protection? A pop up says mine is disabled and it won't turn back on. Regards, Cu_Sith.
  5. Hi, Whoops, I should have read the known conflicts post more carefully. I've downloaded the new MAE Beta ( and it fixed the problem. *yay* Regards, Cu_sith.
  6. Hi, First off, I love this product, but: As of today my browsers failed to open. I couldn't see an error in normal window logs but it appears the culprit is MAE. (Disabling all my other active applications had no effect) There is no MAE pop up saying something has been blocked, the browsers simply fail to load up. Operating System and other software: Windows 7 x64Kaspersky Total security (Latest version).Malwarebytes Anti Exploit ( Anti Malware Premium (v2015.11.4.5)Secunia PSI ---- I just disable MAE while I open my browser, then re-enable. *shrugs* I assume MAE still works at this point? Regards, cu_sith.
  7. Hi Firefox, Thanks, you're right, I didn't need the key. The problem is now resolved. MBAM rocks on Cu_Sith.
  8. Hi all, I've experienced the same problem with MBAM PRO today. (Windows 7 & kaspersky Pure being the other active protection.) Malicious Website protection is disabled. https://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?/topic/158722-malicious-website-protection-disabled/ Steps 1-4 in the above fix link didn't work. I guess I need to dig up the Premium key before I can try step 5 shown in this link. Cu-sith.
  9. Automatically signs you up for renewal of software, no box to tick at point of sale? That's a sneaky selling practice that reminds me of a few big software companies I avoid. It's enough to deter me from buying mbae as I dislike the practice.
  10. (Win 7 X 64) I had the exact same problem, I couldn't update via the Malwarebytes GUI to v. It kept saying I needed to log in as administrator despite running the programme as admin. The above advise fixed it, I just installed downloaded v. from the website and installed it over the older version.
  11. Hi Ganesan, I have the same OS. I use Kaspersky Pure & Malwarebytes Pro with no apparent conflict or slow down. In case you're interested I also use Malwarebytes Anti Exploit with no problem too. - Cu_sith.
  12. Is this solved? I have the same issue with MBAE, silverlight is blocked in Chrome while on Netflicks. In case it's useful: • OS: Windows 7 x64 Home Premium SP1 • Security Software: Kaspersky Pure, Spywareblaster & Mbam Pro. • Installed Apps: Secunia PSI, Kindle & VLC. • The Silverlight version is 5.1.20513.0 (64-bit). 2013-08-17 00:56:49 - An exploit code has been blocked in Google Chrome.2013-08-17 00:56:49 - 4 An exploit code has been blocked in (7840)Google Chrome2013-08-17 00:56:49 - Alert MessageBox from (7840)C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe2013-08-17 00:56:49 - An exploit code has been blocked in Google Chrome.
  13. Maybe if you go to >Settings >Scheduler Settings >Add >Select 'Flash scan' >Make sure there is a tick by 'Perform scheduled scan silently from system account' it'l solve your problem...
  14. Go to the 5th tab along under 'logs', scroll down to the logs that have the ending 'protection log' and you will find what you're looking for. Here you can see the IP that was blocked, if it was outgoing/incoming, the port and the process. FYI I think it's normal to see your AV shown as blocked. (AV scans traffic from site that MBAM is blocking). No idea about the flash scan, sorry.
  15. (Before you edited:) Yup it was called Pro.Rat or something by SAS, it seemed to be slowly destroying the laptop I looked at and wasn't detected by Avast either... Personally, I wouldn't consider SAS crapware, though I do prefer MBAM & use its pro version. Anyone know how many posts I need before I can edit?
  16. In my experience SAS also has a higher probability of giving you false positives. It's pro version also doesn't seem to play quite as well with many of the major AV's. /me wants an edit button
  17. If they don't clash I see no reason why you shouldn't have both on the same computer. A few months back I was asked to look at someone’s laptop which was exhibiting odd behaviour, a full MBAM scan came up clean whereas an SAS scan then picked up some kind of RAT variant.
  18. Hello @Malwarebytes forum, What's the consensus on (paid for) VPNs like CyberGhost, are they worth it for the average internet user that only occasionally uses hotspots? Also how trusted are these vendors? Thanks for any info, cu_sith.
  19. @ Deeter - Have you contacted support/their forums for help or tried clean installing? Maybe it's a software clash... either way I'd pick one AV, as BornSlippy says running two at once isn't a good idea. With PC's that I've seen Kaspersky on I found it had a relatively low impact on system resources except during a full scan and updating.
  20. If I had to suggest two paid for AV's, IMHO it's a toss-up between Kaspersky and Bitdefender. While I had one small issue with Kaspersky being buggy I found their support/tech guys quick to respond and helpful. In my experience Bitdefender has always run smoothly, is very light weight, has good customer service and (I think) has good detection rates. I'm not sure how well Bitdefender runs with Pro versions of Anti Malware tools like Mbam and SAS as I've never tried it. I've never used Webroot myself.
  21. Hi, I'm just wondering if this is a common bug? If I manually update Malwarebytes (Pro) it always disables (un-ticks) the 'Enable malicious website blocking' protection module. It's easy enough to re-enable, (unless I forget). Thanks, Cu Sith.
  22. I use Kaspersky with mbam pro and they play great together, no slow down in performance at all. I've got exclusions set up though and use HitmanPro as a standalone scanner.
