  1. Thank you for the reply. I am totally freezing at 11 seconds into the scan which requires a hard boot to clear. I have tried several versions of MB over the last several months as they have been released but I still have the problem. I have tried this: Basic procedures to correct freezing issues often due to other Security Software If these procedures do not correct the problem please create a new post seeking further assistance 1.Uninstall Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware using Add/Remove programs in the control panel. 2.Restart your computer (very important). 3.Download and run this utility. 4.It will ask to restart your computer (please allow it to). 5.After the computer restarts, install the latest version from here Note: If you're using a PAID version of Malwareybtes, you will need to reactivate the program using the license you were sent via e-mail. BEFORE registering and starting the Protection Module, locate the Exclusion List for your Anti-Virus. Probably under an advanced menu in the program. Add the following folders, sub-folders if you can, at a minimum add the files to the exclusion to be safe.
  2. Nice thread hijack here. Still no help for me.
  3. I followed these directions to the letter and I am still freezing 11 seconds into the scan. It is a total system lockup which requires a hard re-boot. I had a malware infection several months ago and the folks at Bleeping Computer helped me to get rid of it. At that time, MB was installed and worked well. However, MB later starting freezing every time a scan was run for some unkown reason. Any suggestions?
  4. I don't have WinMgmt.exe running in my proccesses list. Csrss.exe is at 0.
  5. I guess I spoke too soon. The scan that worked was a quick scan. When I tried to do a full scan MBAM locked up. I rebooted and tried a quick scan again and now it doesn't work either. So, I am back to square one unable to run MBAM.
  6. I forgot to use the MBAM clean utility after uninstalling Endpoint. So I uninstalled MBAM again rebooted and ran the cleaning utility. I rebooted and reinstalled MBAM and it is now working. No more freezing! I have replaced Endpoint with Avast based on the many recommendations.
  7. After reading about issues with Symantec Endpoint, I uninstalled Endpoint using a script I was able to find. I reinstalled MBAM but quick scan still locked up 7 seconds into the scan.
  8. After downloading Malwarbytes I can not get it to run as it freezes and locks up computer about 7 secondes into the scan. It does in on both full and quick. It completely locks up computer and the only way out is to turn off the power and cold re-boot. I have tried to run the clean utility but I get the error code, "SHGetValue failed with error code 0." Any suggestions? Thanks.
