I have an question : dose "factory reset" is restoring everything in the MBG setting ? I ask this because I had to disable "anonymous" ? do a reset is not fully restoring a few settings

a problem to updating the Malwarbytes database since a few 2 day ago and not sure where is the problem and I need to have it working again Malwarebytes browser guard version is 2.6.10 Firefox version is Firefox 117.0.1 then it updated to Firefox 118.0 however MB update still not work . error message is

fast startup is off now so should I restart or shutdown the computer ? BTW : the change log for the Malwareytes support tool need an update so members or users can find what’s new in next version of the tool !

my trial copy of Malwarebytes version 4.5.33.272 has just been over and I’ve just log into my Malwarebytes account to copy the product key and to activate the software and now the the malware protection won’t be turn back on . Malwarebytes version 4.5.33.272 update package version 1.0.72701 Component package version 1.0.2069 any clue ?

windows reports no problem . Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations. and also the MBST asking to reinstall the latest version of Malwarebyts for windows and it no longer the tool asking for a system reboot ! so should I continue to manually reinstall the offline version without the need for a windows restart ?

A few minutes ago I’ve just click on check for updates button to see if there a new version is available and there was a new update available and and I install it and after that an error is showed up even before the router got disconnected itself . so not sure if this has something to do with the router or not . the error form Malwarebytes software is :

my default web browser is Firefox which has Malwarebytes Browser Guard enabled .and I have no any third-party on the Windows 10 system . I also have no clue where to look in the Microsoft’s Edge browser since I was unable to locate where their extension setting . Okay . I’ll make sure to check on this link later today and reply to this topic . -
I’m not familiar with the new feature named "Security Advisor" but however I’d be more happy to reporting software problem to Malwarebytes : ) # problem 1 : Malwarebytes not detect Browser Guard as already installed # problem 2: Malwarebytes version 4 UI takes a few bit time to be opened the one that I need to resolve is that Malwarebyte’s Security Advisor says "Wi-FI connection is not secure" so how do get this fixed up ?

aha I see now :) so I had to change this option to off in Malwarebytes and Windows defender is now go back to on ! @Porthos thank for your help to get WD back again :)

New offline setup for Malwarebytes is just downloaded and I install it however the problem return again which is Windows Defender is turn off again .!

good to know this so it mean there are no Drivers problem ? ready now for to run a diagnostic software if you can help with this because I can not understand to how use such software ! all best .

thanks for let me aware about your information on the new threat I have no yellow or red entries in the device manger . but look like I have a drivers problems showing in there , (some drivers are grayed out with windows reports errors) Device manger > View > show hidden devices

system has just been restart and everything seems working fine . Malwarebytes still not reinstalled . also I haven’t install anything HP’s drivers this time . the things I done are to install a new windows 10 OS and install a few software . should I do what ? the problems reported by FRST caused by what ?
