ok so i downloaded microsoft security essentials and it found a Trojan:Win32/Bamital my question is why didnt MBAM pick it up ? and how did i get it in the first place , the reason im asking so many questions is because i want to know how to avoid such things in the future thnx

thnx advancesetup for helping me =) if you haver the time can you please show me how you know i might be infected. was it from looking at the logs? and how? so maybe in the future i wont be completely dumbfound on whats going on

i dont understand i run mbam & avg and it finds nothing my net is running super slow is it possible it has been hijacked

also when i click dds.scr it just goes to a blank untitled page attach.txt CheckResults.txt dds.txt

i also noticed "googleinstaller.exe" on my task manager , man i never seen that before im soo screwed CheckResults.txt

i just noticed my windows firewall is off , is this bad? and worse is when i tried to turn it on i could not its 2am and im tires lost and confused thnx

I would also like to ask some questions regarding IP addresses , im sure its not difficult for someone who is skilled to obtain a targets IP address but can they really do something with it? I apologise if these questions sound stupid , im pretty paranoid when it comes to internet thing , i even got worries when i seen the new malwarebytres logo and thought it was some kind of virus , i googled it and this is how i found this forum=)

Hi guys im new here , i have recently become interested in internet security and want to learn how i can be safe while using the internet. any tips would be greatly appreciated =) also if you guys belong to any other forums regarding internet security and you would like to share would also be cool One question i would like to ask is how safe is it to download torrents? Once i download it and run a virus scan does that guarantee it safe? right now im using malwarebytes and avg thnx , looking forward to being a part of this community
