Google Redirect Virus

I am running Windows 7 Starter on an ASUS EePC 1015PX.
For some time, links to websites from Google have been redirecting to advertisements.
I have installed Ad-Aware but it has not solved the problem.
Could anyone explain how I can remove the virus?
