[Help, Google redirects to spam and Malwarebytes isn't working]

Hey, just today Google has been redirecting me to spam. Every time I type in something such as "pencil" no matter what I click on it will automatically redirect me to some spam advertisement. I uninstalled chrome (the only browser I use) and reinstalled, it didn't work. I ran a full scan twice (first with internet connection, second without) and Malwarebytes couldn't detect the problem. I just want to completely clean my laptop so I can start over fresh, and then I'll buy some security thing like Norton (I currently am not running anything to protect my computer) for now my top priority is to fix my computer of all these problems.
