  1. Hi, Just wondered if anyone can throw any light on this. Trojan.FakeAlert was detected and quarantined by MBAM but these files appear to have generated whilst I was in the process of installing ZoneAlarm's basic firewall application. The files identified in the log were: C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Temp\nsb14.tmp\System.dll C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Temp\nsb14.tmp\nsisos.dll C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Temp\nsb14.tmp\mt.dll C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Temp\nsb14.tmp\Time.dll I realise from what I have read that Trojan.FakeAlert is not necessarily an actual virus or malware, but designed to trigger a detection that can only be resolved by paying for a particular brand of anti-virus software. But would this be the case for ZoneAlarm which I understood to be well trusted? Tim.
