trojan horse injector
in Malwarebytes for Windows Support Forum
Posted
Hi:
I have Malwarebytes Pro and I had 3 instances of trojan horse injector today. It took a safe mode start; system install and 3 full scans to get rid of it. Since I have the Malwarebytes Pro installed, initially came here for information. I did a search and couldn't find any posts.
So I went to other sites to remove
http://www.precisese...-horse-injector
and then I went to AVG for more info. This is what I found...
http://www.avgthreat.../info/injector/
Injector is a threat that is spreading. It is currently ranked 143 in the world for online threats. Injector has been detected by AVG on victims' machines in 39 countries during the last month. U.S.A. 0.6% and Canada 0%. I live in Canada.
How can I remove Injector?
If you received a pop-up warning for Injector while you were surfing a website, chances are that the threat was blocked and there's nothing to remove. Malware did give me a pop-up warning but it took
all of my above steps and 3 full scans to get rid of it.
I am by no means a computer techie. I wanted people to know about it and if anyone has any information that would be appreciated too. I am not convinced it is gone and it is all removed. It is difficult to get rid of...
We'll see what tomorrow brings.
Thanks.
