Hi again MrC I have removed that other item but the drives will not allow me to check them for errors. As a Samsung this is formatted so that one drive is in two parts as C and D. The C drive obviously won't let me check it whilst it is running but also won't offer me any options to schedule a format. The D drive will start the check but then freezes about 20% in. Also, the dialogue boxes aren't populating properly and it is only because I was following the online help that I could recognise which button to press as there are no labels at all. Hopefully there is a simple solution...?! Cheers

It is currently underway and up to stage 4 as I write this. Just to avoid confusion the file I deleted earlier was cwnvaaav.exe and not tqyjpaqi as I had put.

I have encountered a couple of issues this time Ran RogueKiller and deleted as instructed Folder tqyjpaqi wouldn't delete as it said directory was not empty. I checked inside it and the file tqyjpaqi was there so I deleted it. Then the folder allowed me to delete it also. The file tqyjpaqi was not in the location you said but was as above. I then tried to run Combofix and it said that McAfee antivirus and antispyware are running. I had previously uninstalled these from the pc and they do not show on any search so is it ok to continue to run combofix? Cheers

Hi I am new to this forum. I have developed a problem on my Samsung R530 laptop which has effectively disabled it. I can't see any restore points and it has become very unstable in anything but safe mode. It does not see the network connections even when logged in to safe mode with networking.
