  1. That explains it. Nothing to do with updating it on the installed version of MBAM but available to save to a flash drive for use on another infected computer.
  2. Thanks for your reply. I don't quite follow the logic of your explanation though. If the installed version of MBAM already includes Chameleon, why have a downloadable link WITHIN MBAM in order to get Chameleon to install MBAM? If the already installed Chameleon cannot stop running malware in order to update and run MBAM, what chance would you have of using the download link even if you could access it? I can understand why you would want to install and run MBAM on an infected system but why the link when you already have MBAM installed?
  3. Sorry, should have stated that Chameleon (with text page and question mark icon) appears when clicking on Tools in my Start Menu items.
  4. Have just installed MBAM v1.70.0.1100 (free version). I notice that in the tab More Tools, if you click on Chameleon it gives you the option to download it. When accessing MBAM in my Start Menu items, Chameleon is shown as a link (with a text page and question mark icon). I assumed that Chameleon was already available in the free version. Why the option to download it? Is it because there is a stand-alone version that doesn't rely on a web page link or does Chameleon now have to be updated separately from the main programme?
  5. Out of interest, just tried updating again at 16:18 BST and have now got v2012.09.30.03. Seems everything is back to normal now.
  6. Have also managed to manually update. Now showing v2012.09.30.01 as well. Thing is, I did it at 15:19 BST and normally there would have been 2 or 3 further updates by now. Anyway, at least it's working. Thanks for your reply
  7. Very unusually I notice that there hasn't been a definitions update yet for (Sunday) 30.09.12. My current version is 2012.09.29.05. I see in the locked threads that there was a problem when 1.6 was first introduced but I have not had a problem up till now and am running 1.65. Hopefully it's just a temp server problem.
