Google is becoming nearly impossible to use because of a redirect rootkit that's been planted on my computer which has a seemingly 50% chance of displaying an unrelated spam web page instead.. I have tried running Malwarebytes in the past - it detected two items, neither of which were apparently related to the rootkit because the redirect oddity continues to be a problem. TDSSKiller is useless as it doesn't detect anything, despite there clearly being an issue with the computer. Running ComboFix will not work, either, as it remains static on the "running scan" screen for over three hours. This is likely not supposed to happen. In addition, running ComboFix causes a decrease in computer performance that is so drastic a manual reboot is necessary . Please help.
