  1. I have also been having this problem with Malwarebytes when using Chrome. On a given day, I might get up to a dozen notices from Malwarebytes telling me that it has blocked access to filtering.fastsearch.me, as seen in the graphic. The notices are not annoying but I would like to know if there is an issue with Chrome. I do not get the messages using Opera and possibly not using Edge, Firefox or Vivaldi. On other sites, I have seen reference to a program that should be removed via Control Panel: see https://www.pcrisk.com/removal-guides/17939-fast-search-assist-browser-hijacker for
  2. I have had no issues with programs to date on the PC concerned but if the problem persists I will do this.
  3. The logs from the Repair Tool are here: mbst-grab-results.zip
  4. This incident started with Malwarebytes 4.1.2 application being unresponsive in Windows (Win 10/2004 64bit) when launched from the desktop icon. The following messages started appearing in Event Viewer I originally posted an incident at https://www.tenforums.com/antivirus-firewalls-system-security/162162-malwarebytyes-refuses-open.html#post1989249 and have since used the Repair Tool to reinstall MB which is now open and scanning. But why was the product unresponsive in the first case? This is not the first time this has happened and normally a reboot cures the issue. But in this
  5. This has not occurred. An un-install and re-install of MB 3.4.5 has not fixed the issue.
  6. Hello Can you please advise what has happened to the Windows context menu option for MB Premium 3.4.5? The option is selected in MB Premium 3.4.5 but the menu lack this. Thanks Martin O'Shea.
  7. Hello i have recently installed MB 3.3.1 on A windows 10 PC but I find that the context menu is unavailable. It is not appearing regardless of the setting below: How can this be resolved? Thanks Martin O'Shea.
  8. In any case, thanks to Zynthesist, AprilA and the other respondents to this thread.
  9. Can you explain what online-metrix.net is? Is it a legitimate web site or not? Why did MB show these messages all of a sudden?
  10. @Zynthesist: Can you explain what is going on? What is online-metrix.net? Is it a legitimate web site or not? Why has MB shown these messages all of a sudden?
  11. @AprilA: I also have a Windows 7 laptop networked with the Windows 10 PC. The laptop appears to be unaffected though. It is a rum do!
  12. @AprilA: I would be cautious here and tend to think it could be a false positive. If MB is off, then it will not report any messages. I still think it is Flash related. The sooner that program is consigned to the dustbin of history, the better.
