  1. Sorry for delay, been away. I did what you suggested Firefox, and completed the clean uninstall and re-install to new Program version. It is now working OK. (Win XP) I don't want to lose my XP as I detest Win7 !!!! Thanks again to both of you, and I hope you both enjoyed your Christmas.
  2. To KenW and Firefox. Many thanks for your input. I was able to update to the latest program version on my laptop (Win 7) and the problem seems to be resolved. The desktp PC however (Win XP SP3) wont update to the latest program version even though I have the box ticked to update. Maybe because its Win XP ? I don't know. The daily updates are not taking so long now, so I'll see how it goes. Thanks again Mackenzie
  3. Hello, Since installing the updated program to 2.0.3.1025, the updates are taking so long, it seems it gets stuck in a loop? I have the same version on my laptop Win7 64bit, and my desktop PC Win XP 32bit. Both have the same issue. In fact I have to restart my laptop and PC for the issue to be corrected. Can anyone help please? Thanks in advance.
  4. Thank you for your reply. Maybe I should have explained better. I have a laptop and also desktop PC Just under a year ago, I switched from AVG to Avast AV program. When I use my laptop with Win 7 and Belkin router, of which I have added nothing to, Malwarebytes pops up blocking "type: outgoing - process avastsvc.exe" When I use my desktop PC with Win XP, Malwarebytes does not block this same process. By the way, when using desktop, I am using my partners internet with Linksys router. When I go into the router under applications and gaming, this svchost keeps putting itself in and slows down my speeds. I keep taking it out..... That's why I wondered if there was a way Malwarebytes could also block this when using the desktop PC. I would appreciated your time in any help you could suggest. Thank you Mackenzie.
  5. Hello, Could someone please tell me how to block a particular website, [iP address] in Malwarebytes Pro. There is a tab for adding to the ignore list, but not anywhere to block. Thank you in advance Mackenzie.
  6. Wow.... Many thanks Exile for your kind quick reply. I will now change the firewall rule to allow all for Mbam. Have a nice day. Cheers
  7. Hi to anyone who can assist. I have Malwarebytes Pro on my laptop and also on my desktop PC. Laptop running Win7 64bit, and PC running XP pro SP3 32bit. I am amazed at how many IP's Mbam blocks. [i have usually used the free version for years]. I have recently changed my AV to Avast v7, and on both my laptop and PC, Avast pops up saying Mbam.exe is trying to open a web page - Verisign class 3 code signing 2010 CA. The second popup from Avast states Mbam is trying to access amazonaws.com On both of these occasions, I have been reading a web page, not touching anything at all. All I could find out on the web is that amazonaws is for web creating. I do not visit Amazon nor do I create websites. I have told Avast to "deny" until I know more about it. Could someone tell me please if I should be allowing Mbam to access what it wants to? I know this may be a silly question, as we trust Mbam. Many thanks in advance for any suggestions. Cheers
