well, not that I know of. What tipped me off, was I went out of town 2 weeks ago. I forgot to turn off the computer. So two days into my trip, I called my wife and asked her to turn the computer off. When I got back, as soon as I booted up and did my first google search, I got a redirect. So I ran my malware bytes program, and saw the rootkit. I then ran it again, and saw it was still there. Then googled the rootkit0access, and saw this website. So now I'm here. So I'm not sure about the windows updates thing. How would I know?

Merged 3 post After a quick search, I've seen this topic pop up a lot recently, and I got hit today. First discovered it because of a game I play online, and my "ping" was sky high, so I knew something was up. Started getting a lot of redirects also when getting online.
