  1. MBAM-free: How do I stop the main window from popping up every hour after updating ? This is very annoying, and very stupid ! Of course it would be more logical to show the main window only if the update fails. And the automatic updates cannot be disabled in the free version after the 14-day premium trial has expired.... Really clever... Are there any good solution to this except unistalling, running MBAM-cleaner, reinstalling, and then disable all updates ??? Personally I know a few ways to prevent any program from running, but this is on a friends computer....
  2. I´m not using the FREE version. You seem to have missed what i posted above: " It´s MBAM-PRO, i´m testing the latest version together with the latest version of Emsisoft AntiMalware (EAM), with mutual exclusions." Who said anything about a server ? I´m running WS2008-R2 on my laptop.... And it´s no "business use", it´s personal.
  3. WS2008-R2 is the server-version of W7. I have converted it to workstation, so it´s basically the same, but faster.
  4. Hi ! Sorry, i should have said which version it was. It´s MBAM-PRO, i´m testing the latest version together with the latest version of Emsisoft AntiMalware (EAM), with mutual exclusions. Yes, i know how to setup scheduled updates, but i was referring to manual updates by right-clicking on the taskbar-icon. I´m running Windows Server 2008-R2 with SP1, although I don´t think it matters....
  5. Hi ! Do i have to run updates "as ADMIN" ? With a USER-account, when i try to update i get: "An error has occurred. Please report this issue to our support team (include the content of all error message(s) and code(s) in your submission). PROGRAM_ERROR_UPDATING (5,0, MBAMFiIeIO: :WriteFile) Access is denied. "
  6. Hi ! Why is there no forumsection for MBAR ? Where should we post ? Today i installed MBAR, and noticed some (weird) behaiviour, an FP regarding other software. I wanted to post this but could not find a forumsection for it.... The FP has now been reported to support.
  7. ok, if it is 14 days, then everything is ok. i just thought i saw 30 days mentioned somewhere. but it´s a bit weird that it isn´t mentioned on the product-pages....
  8. well, i uninstalled before i found info about mbam-clean.exe.... but it shouldn´t matter, just a few files the tool didn´t have to remove....
  9. i´m confused... i just did a search for some more info, but i can´t find any information regarding the lenght of the trial. One post in the forum says "14 days", however i thought i read "30 days" somewhere. How long is the trial-period ?
  10. Yes of course it would have expired now, if i had started the trial 120215 (15 feb) ! But, as the subject says: "started the trial yesterday, today it´s expired ?"... You´re supposed to get a 30-day trial aren´t you ? And now when i accidentally hoovered my mouse over the MBAM-icon in the taskbar, i saw a small "ballon" telling me that i have 12 days left on the trial. This must be a bug...
  11. Thanks for the reply. I have already done that, found info here on the forum. I uninstalled, ran mbam-clean, and cleaned up registry manually, then i reinstalled MBAM. And now it´s running since yesterday without any errormessages. Exclusions is no problem, i´ve already found instructions here on MBAM, and entered mutual exclusions for Online Armor, Forefront and MBAM.
  12. hi ! I started the trial yesterday, today it´s expired ? MBAM was installed 120215 (15 feb), and i´ve been using the FREE version since then. i would really like to try the PRO version, to see how it works together with other antivirusprograms.... I´m currently testing Forefront Endpoint Protection (FEP).
