  1. Still totally usless information. Since March I have gotten this error on and off. Goes away, comes back. Came back today. Do the above, "You are using the current version of Malwarebytes" So exactly **WHEN** will this be fixed? Maybe indicate the ACTUAL version it was fixed in if that is the case. To have us find this, and just keep trying to update and get none is totally useless and moronic.
  2. I am a home user and purchased 1.6 for numerous family memebers. 1.6, just hands down worked. No nonsense, no flalshy popups, no continued nonsensical gui prompts It JUST WORKED. 2.0 is cute, I am sure the engine works better than before (assume, but since business customers are still on 1.6, it makes me wonder). Previously 1.6 allowed for a simple schedule of updating and leveredged Windows Scheduler. I had taken the Windows Scheduled task and added numerous triggers to it so as to force update not just based on time, but on things like "trigger on user login". Thus if the system was locked, or hybernated, it would update as soon as a user logged in, not waiting on any schedule of time. The only way to schedule the update with 2.0 is via the gui, which does not allow for any more than a schedule based on time. Is there not a way to force an update when the user logs in?' Setting it for over kill of 1min or 5min only adds network traffic, all be it tiny, but it seems that this is poor planning. What are my options?
  3. How about we re-light this up, regarldess of if I have Self Protect on or off, I can't rename or remove the Malwarebytes iconds. (I want them moved off of the primary start menu list into a sub folder) UAC DisabledMy user account is an AdminCannot take ownershipCannot delete or moveIt seems that MBam has decided that v1 was just to simple and easy to operate, and thus we had to write cute interfaces and the enable some sort of secret self protection, of which why? The app starts from the registry, if malware was going to hijack it, then it would somewhere besides the start menu Icon. I even challenge you to come up with a SINGLE case where some malware changed the icon and made it launch something rogue. In my specific case, I install it and remove all the icons, if it is running in the system tray, then I can start the app from there. I purchased 3 copies which I have owned for years, and MBam has been nothing but rock solid and just simply works. The total re-design of the interface and how a user can interact is going in the WRONG direction, Take Spybot for example, V2 they went the CORRECT DIRECTION, which was "dont ask me questions just protect me" this is what MBam was to begin with, now MBam seems to think we need a cute interace and neat icons and buttons. A hammer works because it just works, It has not been re-designed in over a hundered years for a reason. It does not need a OSAH approved, gel coated, ergonomic handle, or a self launching safety shield. It just needs to drive nails. Take that simple approach and get back to how the app worked when the forums were not filled with problems due to the GUI and nonsence self protection.
  4. So today it just started crashing after reboots....clean removed, now installing 2.0.2.1012 wont even install. Internal Error: Expression error 'Runtime Error (at 79:177): External exception E06D7363 Why is MBAM 2 such a piece of garbage? I never had one issue with v1.x and ran it for years.... I own 3 licenses...... Not to mention, ther is no more silent update, it has to bring the program to the foreground. No one cares what it is doing with bars and nonsense, as long as it works. Now it does not even work...all that wasted time on a pretty interface and not enought time on a robust application. So what's my next solution?
  5. Followed the Clean Removal Process Installed Beta 1007 No message now of the Anti-Rootkit driver. Thanks for the help but.... Now what would be nice is some type of MBam staus that would tell me that it is actually running..... How do I actually know? Why did 1004 not work correctly? How can I verify that I am adiquetly protected and there is no root-kit?
  6. Also, I contacted support since I paid for the product (3 copies) but I have not heard a response. That was last week.
  7. I will install that this afternoon. I took the hard drive out to rebuild on another disk, so let me put it back and test. Will advise.
  8. This is still happening on some reboots. Not all, but some. I am somewhat alarmed. This is only happening on a single computer, not the others that I have Malwarebyte on. Should I go through the process above and try to figure out what it going on?
  9. Scan completeted successfully! No malicious items were detected! It did not tell me that the Rootkit driver was not loaded, but still, there is zero verification that it is running? It would just tell you if it were not? There is no way to verify? Amazing that the new tool is this way, the previous tool would tell you what was enabled and what was not. I just want to make sure.
  10. Thank you. Updated, Custom Scan : Local Disks, Memory Objects, Startup and Reg, Rootkits Will report. Thanks,
  11. Alwasy the issue with Forums, the direct question is not answered. How do I tell if the driver is installed an working? This ONLY happens after an upgrade to the new product, or removal of the product and installtion of the new prodcut. So how do I tell if this is actually operational after a reboot?
  12. How do I know? How do I verify? When I click to reboot, it gives another error, but I could not capture it as it started rebooting after the error popped up.
  13. I am a Premium User (from version 1), installed the latest version last night and get this error screen: http://i61.tinypic.com/nwn86x.png Malwarebytes Anti-Malware --------------------------- Malwarebytes was unable to load the Anti-Rootkit DDA Driver, this error may be caused by rootkit activity. Do you want to reboot the system and attempt to install the Driver? --------------------------- (If you don't choose to reboot, Anti-Rootkit scanning will be disabled for this session). Rebooted and it did not say it again, but I have no way (or do not know the way) to check if it is actually operational. The message came up only once (on new install/upgrade). I re-created the message by uninstalling Malwarebytes, and re-installing it. The message comes up again, but I will guess on reboot, it will not mention again, and I still do not know how to check if it is installed. Any ideas?
  14. You say fixed, I just updated Mbam, and it still shows it as infected.
