  1. I have MBAM set to run at regular intervals which runs as scheduled for a while, but when I check on it's status, I find that it has stopped running as scheduled but starts scanning the moment that I open MBAM to check on it's results. How can this problem be fixed to always run as scheduled without my intervention?

  2. I had to re-install MBAM and the desktop icon that was created is a white square with a smaller box with colored dots in it. How can I get back the familiar blue "batwing" styled desktop shortcut?

I already have the latest version of MBAM installed which is 2.2.1.1043.  was under the understanding that there was a newer version available. Is that not true?

I bought and paid for the anti-exploit software, and I don't want to waste my money. I was under the impression that it was a necessary program to have installed to prevent Crypto wall (ransom ware) attacks???

      Hello rwharold,

I apologize for the confusion, you are correct...  When you mentioned that you needed to reinstall MalwareBytes and after doing doing so it didn't create the same icon, it sounded like the install had failed, or perhaps you may have installed our Anti-Exploit software when trying to reinstall our Anti-Malware product.

If you still do not see the Anti-Malware logo, with Blue/Black, you can click Start > All Programs > MalwareBytes > Right Click 'MalwareBytes Anti-Malware' > Send to Desktop.  That will create the shortcut that will have our logo that is blue/black which scan's the computer for malicious files.

The Anti-Exploit logo does have white and black dots.  It is different from our Anti-Malware software as it stops and protects you from exploits, and there was a new version released on August 2nd...

  3. The system tray icon for MBAM shows a red circle with a white exclamation point in the middle of it. When I open MBAM, a red "Fix Now" box is visible, but when I click on it, nothing happens. In addition, "Real-Time Protection" states: "No protection". How can this problem be fixed? Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
  4. Be sure that you download and install the newly released version of MBAM 2.2.1.1043!!! Its greatly improved. I really like it. Best regards, Richard
  5. Barkas, Personally, I use Norton Security which I have used for several years and I like it how it works. HOWEVER, I also HIGHLY suggest that you download and install the JUST released beta version of MalwareBytes Anti-Ransomware and the also newly released Hit Man Pro.Alert whose sole purpose is to block Cryptowall and any other Ransomware type program from hijacking 100% of all your files unless you pay $500!!! Do it. You won't be sorry! Gook luck! Best regards, Richard
  6. Porthos, Since you are more knowledgeable than myself, I have just changed both scan and threat updates to just daily. Thanks for the heads-up! Richard
  7. Make sure that you order the BRAND NEW VERSION just released this morning!!!! We’re happy to announce that our latest MBAM patch release, MBAM 2.2.1.1043, was released today. You may download MBAM 2.2.1.1043 from this link. I just installed it over my old version and it has MANY great new features. No much to do with set-up, EXCEPT you have to go to scheduling and set up your database update starting time and the frequency - I have mine set hourly and the Threat Scan set for starting time and every two hours. Piece of cake!!! Enjoy! Richard
  8. wyldoats, Since you stated: "Malware Bytes not stopping Ransomware", what you REALLY want to use is Malwarebytes Anti-Ransomware beta: https://malwarebytes.box.com/s/uluqe6ms2l36bsxkudurlr7yr8lp6d8g That WILL stop Ransomware! I have had it for over 3 weeks now, and it has already blocked 2 attacks. Also, you most certainly want to install MalwareBytes Antimalware: https://www.malwarebytes.org/mwb-download/. I highly suggest that you purchase the PREMIUM version as it does so much more. I have it and its absolutely fantastic. You can however, start with the TRIAL version, and then upgrade to the premium version. I hope this will help you. Let me know how everything went and your impressions. Best regards, Richard
  9. Attn: Ron Lewis - Advanced Setup. You had asked me to start a new post in this forum to address the issues that were found in my original posting above. Now what can we do? Best regards, Richard
  10. Attn: Ron - Advanced Setup You asked me to start a new post here to address the issues found in: https://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?/topic/179607-malwarebytes-antimalware-corporate-18011011/#entry1023266 Now what can we do to fix those issues? Thanks, Richard
  11. 1) Daledoc, The clean removal of the Corporate version has been accomplished and MBAM 2.2.0.1024 has been successfully installed and activated, set-up, and the first scan has been run lasting 10 minutes 8 seconds, with NO reported problems. 2) Advanced Setup, Can we now fix the "Other Issues" that you reported? Best regards, Richard
  12. Thanks daledoc, Attached are the 3 files that you requested. I hope that you can discover why it got installed today and how to get back to normal. Best regards, Richard FRST.txt Addition.txt CheckResults.txt
  13. I have ALWAYS had a paid LIFETIME license for the standard version of MBAM. All of a sudden, I just noticed that the MBAM icon was missing from my system tray, so I clicked on the MBAM desktop icon and was VERY surprised to see that the version of MBAM that I have been using for quite a while has changed to the CORPOATE version (ID: with a Key that is all X's). When I opened this new program, I discovered on the "Protection" tab the words in a red box: "Protection disabled". So I assume that I no longer have the automatic protection feature that I have used for years. First, can you explain to me why the Corporate version was automatically installed wiping out the lifetime MBAM version that I have always had? Is the Corporate version Lifetime licensed or have I lost my Lifetime license? How can I change the "Protection disabled" to "Enabled? PLEASE HELP ME AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!!!!!
  14. Ron, Thanks anyway for your reply. I guess that I will just have to wait. Richard
  15. Thanks for your reply. Oh well. You can't blame me for just asking. This version has been around for such a long period of time that it seems to me that there should be an updated version available for release. Is there a staff member that is monitoring this thread that could possibly offer a response?
  16. Attn: daledoc 1. Just out of curiosity, MBAM 2.2.0.1024 has been around for quite a while. Can you forecast when you will be releasing a new revised improved version? Thanks a lot!
  17. Thanks Ron, I'll keep my fingers crossed. I'll just wait and see. Richard
  18. Ron, I went to Event Viewer and for some reason it doesn't show yellow or red flags, just words: Critical = 0, Error = 6, Warning = 9, Information = 287, and Audit Success = 34. Does this help? If not, are there some tests that you would like me to run that might be more informative? Best regards, Richard
  19. Ron, Thanks for your patience. I have successfully restored the image of my C drive that was created on 12/19/15. My computer "seems" to be to its old self when everything was working properly. Boot-up times are 40 seconds, MBAE now loads, and MBAM Threat scans now 10 minutes. Are there any tests that you would like for me to run so that you can see if everything looks OK to you? Best regards, Richard
  20. Ron, Just to keep you updated, I was unable to use my image restore program because of a screen problem with my computer which will be fixed when I can find a ride to my Toshiba Repair Shop. I will then send you a report. Richard
  21. Ron, I followed all your steps to the letter. Boot up time is 240 seconds. MBAE will not load. In my humble opinion I think the time has come to give up considering the current condition of my computer which is absolutely abysmal. As I previously mentioned to you, my Seagate external hard disc drive has a full IMAGE backup that was created on 12/19/2015. Unless you have some miracle cure for my situation that you know will finally work, I will proceed tomorrow to use the Seagate Disc Wizard Program to revert my system back to a known point in in time when my computer was working correctly. Since it is now 2:30 AM EST, it is way past my bedtime and I need some sleep. I will assume that you will read this message shortly and you will leave me a reply that I can read in the morning when I wake up. You most certainly have done your best Ron, and I deeply appreciate it, but I really need my computer and all its programs functioning again normally. Best regards, Richard
  22. Ron, Attached are the two files that you requested. Don't forget, not only is my computer running in SLOW motion, MBAE will not load. Concerning your comment about my disc drive. It is an SSD NOT an HDD drive. And I have a program that tests SSD drives, and my test report indicated that my SSD is in perfect condition with an expected 8 and 1/2 year remaining lifespan. What do the new reports tell you? What's next? Richard Addition.txt FRST.txt
  23. Ron, I uninstalled the four programs that you wanted me to uninstall using Revo Uninstaller to make sure all traces were removed. I then downloaded the fixlist.txt file and then ran FRST64 and pressed the Fix button just once and waited. Re-booted several times. The re-boot time is a very sluggish 240 seconds and the computer still runs in very slow motion just as it was before all your steps were performed. MBAE still won't load. So nothing has changed. I had forgotten, but on December 19th, I used my Seagate external hard drive to perform an IMAGE backup. Before I do anything further, I would like your impressions and advice for further steps. However, it is now 1:10 AM January 6th and I am very sleepy. Please post your next step(s) and I will follow them to the letter. Best regards, Richard Fixlog.txt
  24. Ron, I think that I may have offended you, the EXPERT, and that was most certainly was not my intention. I am just a natural "penny pincher", since at 72 (just turned today), my sole source of income is my meager Social Security benefit. Please forgive me!!! As far as doing a system restore, that function has strangely never worked on my computer so that is unfortunately not an option for me. I will do whatever you want me to do, since, fortunately, I have the registration numbers for the programs that I have paid for which I can simply reinstall after your tests. Where do you want me to start? Richard
  25. Attn: Ron (AdvancedSetup), I've have invested a lot of money in WiseCare 365, SpyHunter4, and Norton Security which have never caused me any problems in the years that I have been using them. And Nanoheal Client was installed by the Toshiba Technical Support team as a diagnostic tool for their troubleshooting. With these considerations, what do you want me to do next? I most certainly want to get this strange behavior problem solved before I begin the BSOD trouble shooting steps, taking one step at a time. I'll do whatever you want me to do. Best regards, Richard
