  1. Airedales are my favorite dog, so I will stop! Good luck Mellitta!
  2. Sorry CWB. Mellita, yeah the 127.0.0.1 localhost entry is fine if thats all thats showing. Try running rkill also if you havent done that. Do you have the same problem with ethernet connection as you do a wireless connection? Go ahead and create another post on another forum with so this isn't so confusing to everyone.
  3. At first I thought it may be a proxy server you have configured, but since firefox does not use window's internet settings by default, then it probably isn't. But for laugh's make sure there is nothing in the proxy server field in control panel>internet options>connections>lan settings ( unless you are using a company PC that uses a proxy server ) The other thing I would check is the hosts file. Check and see if the file has been modified recently, if it has, then its probably been tampered with. It is located: c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
  4. Make sure your dhcp service is turned on. I worked on a pc yesterday where this was the issue. Some other things to try, would be to set a static IP somewhere in the range that your router allows. Updating/reinstalling the wireless driver from manufacturer. Logging into your router and updating firmware/ factory reset.
  5. Nope. I get an error (0,0, Connection Refused) when trying that.
  6. Yes I have entered in the same exact proxy server in Malwarebytes that allows me to browse in Internet Explorer, or Chrome. Still not working.
  7. I know its too late. But if you are just looking for something to stream netflix, my opinion would be a tablet. The asus transformer prime is serious stuff.
  8. It's called crap cleaner for a reason! Saved passwords and saved forms in IE arent always crap though.
  9. Probably something left over from an infection maybe, or an infection you have currently. Run Malwarebytes Scan Make a backup of your registry. Open registry editor ( regedit) and go to: hkey_classes_root>drive>shell> See if there is a folder in chinese there also. Delete the folder, reboot.
  10. Hi, I used to be able to update malwarebytes at my home up until i installed the free home astaro proxy. 3 kids old enough to use a computer, gotta keep them safe! I have added an exception for *.mbamupdates on the proxy. I can ping data-cdn.mbamupdates.com. Is there anthing else I can try!!!??? I am getting the error 407 HTTPSTATUSCODE on 3 different computers. THANKS in advance
