  1. Hi, my father recently got a virus on his computer, we used malwarebytes to get rid of it, and now his Start menu folders are empty. They still have the folder names, such as Itunes but most of them are empty. I have used unhide and have gotten some of them back by putting them back into the programs folder from the temp folder smtmp. This is the second time he has gotten a virus and it has removed his icons. we wern't able to restore the start menu shortcuts before my father erassed all the temp files. I beleive that the only way to get them back is to do it manually, and thats ok. I just wanted to know how to do it, because my father would like to have all of them back. The computer is running windows XP, SP3 with all current updates, Has Vipre Antivirus, and Malwarebytes Pro. any help would be appriciated. Da Bear.
