  1. So I just recently had to fix a machine and Malwarebytes, which is usually one of my go to programs, would not run. I kept getting a runtime error 50003. Everywhere on the net everyone just recommends installing VB6 common controls. This did nothing for my problem. I randomly came across an old list of common vb files and started checking them out. It turns out ASYCFILT.DLL was one size in windows\system32 and another size in windows\system32\dllcache I copied the newer one over to the older one. Problem fixed! So to help anyone else avoid a week of looking for this stuff, here is (an admittedly old) list of files to check for duplicates of. Good luck! ASYCFILT.DLL COMCAT.DLL COMCTL32.OCX COMDLG32.OCX CSCLOK32.OCX CSCMD32.OCX CSPLST32.OCX CSSPIN32.OCX CSTEXT32.OCX CTL3D32.DLL GTLIST32.OCX HAMCAL32.DLL MCI32.OCX MFC42.DLL MSCHART.OCX MSVBVM50.DLL MSVCIRT.DLL MSVCRT.DLL OLEAUT32.DLL OLEPRO32.DLL QPRO32.DLL QRZ32.DLL RACCD32A.DLL RESIZE32.OCX STDOLE2.TLB TABCTL32.OCX TABCTL32.1 VB5STKIT.DLL
