  2. Hi Jack&Jill, I transfered my data using the Puppy Linux boot disc. I've had to wait a few days to get another copy of my XP disc, as it went missing. I have it now and will reformat tonight or tomorrow and let you know how it goes. Thanks for all of your help! Cheers, SpoonBill

  4. Hi Jack&Jill, Thanks for the information. I have already disconected my computer from the internet - and changed passwords as needed. I would like to try and clean this computer but if this does not work I am OK with reformating if that is the better option. However, I have quite a bit of important data and media on this computer that I would like to back-up and trasfer to another computer prior to any reformt. How can I do this safely without transfering the infection? Might it be best to attempt to clean the infection first, transfer the files and then re-format? Thanks for the help -

  6. Hi Forum, I hate to re-post but it looks like I might have fallen through the cracks. I am still dealing with the issues listed in my previous post from two weeks ago. http://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showtopic=103716&hl=&fromsearch=1 In short, I have a browser hijack / google redirect malware issue, Malwarebytes is notifying me of blocking outgoing contact to malicious websites, and while this is occuring I have high memory usage and a very slow system.
